Important

I've put over 2000 miles on the jeep since the first of the month an my coopers will not be seeing another wheeling event. Thats almost 38,000 miles since the beginning of the year. Planning on 33s with the new rims I got, but I'm really starting to think that I will be buying a car as my next daily driver... I've really been liking the new Dodge Dart in looks and performance...

Tonight I'm packing up the uhaul and by tomorrow night I will be living in Maplewood, MN.

My dad always told me to never buy the first edition of a new car.

Put 100 rounds through the lc9 today held a 8" group at 7 yards. 9 mm is a big bullet for such a little gun, my wrist and arm are a little sore now.

I'm in the heart of the rust belt. Never had a hub bearing that would not come out of the knuckle. I remove the caliper, remove hub bolts, break loose the hub nut and only hand tighten back on. Put the tire back on grab a chunk of 2 by 4 wedge it between the frame and rim. Start the Jeep grab the steering wheel and turn it to press the wheel to the 2x4 and pop. Never lost a good hub or had any of the 12 I've done not come out. Impact tools rock for the spindle nut. :yelclap:

Took my girls shooting today. My 10 year old plinked a 165 rounds through my Ruger 10-22 and was getting good at 50 yards out. My Fiancee' shot my 1942 .303 British and at 100 yds held a 4" pattern with 5 shots on a peep sight.

I held a 6" pattern at 100yds:shhh:

Should I really admit that?

went out to check out the once a year races at the private land i am hoping to wheel a bit once i get to know the people better...they were already talking to me about my jeep and what it could do :) at any rate the races were kind of a big deal. team can am, polaris, yamaha and a bunch of other motorsports companies have their sponsored teams out there running the races. tonight was the side by side races and those suckers were pretty damn sweet. a fully built can am side by side rigged out with full PIAA racing lights running wide open in the woods is quite a sight to see. there were 40 side by sides racing today...tomorrow the quad races have over 125 teams running. think im gonna go check out those races...gonna try to get some pics too. pretty neat to watch

Wishing I was in Vegas for the Vegas to Reno race going on...

It's a 1942 .303 British Enfield. Not sure which MK series it is will need to look closer. Grandfather brought it back from WWII. It was his friends gun over there. My Grandfather strictly used this gun and a 1910's series 3030 Winchester for hunting and asked me to never make it a shelf queen. That gun has dropped a deer from 1951-1983 when he passed away. I've only dropped one deer with it at 40 yards.:dunno:

It is getting tough to find ammo for it and no one in my family likes to shoot it due to it's kick. I personally love the gun.

My vision isn't the best even with glasses, and I do not want to modify it by putting a scope on. So about 50 yards with the peep sight on a moving target is all I have. 100 yards if I can take all the time I need at a standing target.

They do kick like a mule don't they! My buddy has one and it about dotted my eye the first time I shot it.

the prvi is decent. I've been shooting it out of my M39. They use the same bullet (.310-.311 bore). I've not shot any of the soft point, but I'd imagine a 150gr SP is quite enough to drop a deer.
the 174gr Match stuff shoots about a 3" grouping from my M39 @ 100 yards. it's probably capable of better, but open sights with a fat front sight post kind of suck for target shooting. Can't see the bull behind the front sight post.

right now i havent decided if i want to stick out the whole year or not....as it sits i might have the all time record for weight loss percentage for our center for the 10 week program. we shall see. there is an awards ceremony tonight for the cash prizes. i feel pretty good. my trainer told me i have a shot at the cash prize! if i win, i will probably put the money back into the program and try to stick it out for the 10k full year prize. overall i feel great, so if i don't continue i need to find a way to maintain the work that i've done

10 weeks and 40 lbs.? Pretty good, man. Keep up the good work.
