Kilz makes a good paint that walmart used to sell. I painted over my daughters tan wall with a pepto pink one coat with a few touch up spots thanks to the textured walls.

On the subject of painting, I tore my walls down to nothing and put up new ones instead of killing the mold and repainting :eyes: I could care less as long as it's not ridiculous, so I'm going to let my mom come over and do the color selection / interior design because she absolutely loves doing it but never gets a chance to, and I can't make my mind up on colors anyways because I really don't care.

No more union at my work. It was voted out as the company offered crap contract (last one was crap, the offer they sent didn't change it). I am hopefully joining the free lance union which should be better anyway. Plus, whenever I ask to do something extra (like shoot b roll or something not on company time), the excuse "you are union, I can't do that" won't work anymore.

We are nonunion. I dislike unions. Unions, like welfare, had a purpose in history. The cost of a new car has been driven up so high because the UAW has sucked the life out of the big 3.
It is a privilege to have a job, it is not a privilege of an employer to have you work for them. Do your job and do it well and you should never need representation.

i agree with most of that, and i was raised on union wages. there are some places where unions still work(back home dad has been a union electrician for 30+ years)...the wages they get arent outrageous and they rarely ever go on strike unless its completely necessary. that being said, there are a lot of places when unions have turned bad. a lot of the union stagehands i work with are half as qualifie as most of the non union crews and the non union crews make considerably less, are more skilled and would rather keep working to get done early instead of taking breaks all the time. just like a lot of things in this country, abuse of power is too frequent in unions these days

THere is a family about 30 miles away that has an animal sanctuary. This little lady was there main attraction, Its a lion cub. THey also had a male adult lion, 3 tigers, two black bears, longhorns, wolves, deer, buffalo and countless other animals. I will be volunteering there in the future. THe dude that gave us the tour was super cool and is going to get some hunts setup for folks with physical disabilities like myself so Hopefully I can finally get me a deer this year.

I am union and I agree to a point. They do offer decent healthcare, they are good to me and They make sure we have good working conditions. There is a LOT of politics that goes with it though. We are nowhere as large as UAW so we can't steamroll the company if we don't like their offer but The company is very fair. For what I do, and what I get paid, it ain't bad at all.
