Important

Saw an odd truck rolling north on the other side of the highway tonight on the way home from work. MDT crewcab, with about a 4' tall storage box behind the cab, and a pickup slide-in camper mount over & behind the storage box. It was flat-towing an SUV behind it.

Not necessarily a bad rig for towing a crawler on a trailer, I'd think.

Yes, you can text and drive with a Wisconsin state trooper on your tail for 15 min and not get caught.

Thanks Josh.

:D

Rev
No problem ;)

I didn't see a single one this morning.

If you have fog lights on the front of that little Ranger, I'm fairly certain it was you. If not, then we just missed each other I guess. Either way, it's a little bit of a strange coincidence.

I saw that too, on my way home from the cities... One of us must have been ahead of the other...

Northbound 52, in IGH. Where'd you see it?

I was passing the community college when I saw it...

P.S. we'll have to meet up sometime, now that I'll be living in Maplewood, its... a little... closer...

Let me know the next time you're in town, I'll buy you lunch.

My brother just came home from the gym and there is a sign on the door saying that they are no longer playing music ON FM RADIO over the sound system. ASCAP is making businesses pay an average of 6k a year to be able to play music. That's just stupid.

Aaron, that's the way that it's been for decades. Play for public performance, pay the royalties. Bar owners have tried for years to play their own albums/CDs, only to find out that they aren't allowed to play it for public performance without the royalties. One of my sisters used to own a Hallmark card shop, and almost had to break a couple of employees' fingers, who didn't understand they could play any CD they stocked for sale (as an advertisement) without royalties, but could not put their own CDs in the store system.

Heading back to WI this weekend, this time going up to two rivers. should be a grand ol time, visiting the wife's grandpa and hes a pretty cool guy to talk to(only person on her dads side that seems to have any sense in his head) it is his 80 something birthday and he wants to take us to Appleton for the day, never been there, not sure why he wants to go there but im not complaining i love just sitting in the passenger seat and looking at WI while he drives around.

:eeks1:

I'm right down the road from Appleton, in Oshkosh. Doing a window replacement job for my aunt at her place on Lake Winneconne. Josh was able to help me the past two days, made it a lot more fun

And I got a kick out of the Rev sighting this morning, you never know where in the Midwest that guy will turn up :D

Its radio, I thought the radio stations paid the royalties for being able to play it? So, what's next we start having to pay to listen to the radio while we clean our house?

No, cause that's a private 'viewing', its like a movie, in private is fine, but shown to a 'public' audience = royalties...

IIRC, even rebroadcasting over a PA system counts for more royalties. Cleaning your house isn't a public performance.

This just doesn't make sense to me...on a personal level. I know everyone wants their share, but seriously!?

Truth. It was some good times. Like I said, call me anytime you need a hand down there. Or if your Aunt needs something and you can't make a quick trip up, consider me an option.

This! They already pay royalties, right? So it's like paying income tax on the continental breakfast at a hotel.

Maybe they can put individual radios on each piece of exercise equipment and put a lock around them like the thermostat. At least each radio only plays to the particular person working out on that machine.

I'm so glad that I just concreted that thought into internet foreverness. Somebody needs to bottle that genius.

Side note: Snoop Dogg has changed his name to Snoop Lion, has gone rasta and will be releasing a reggae album in the future.

Anybody heard from BOB lately?

Or the machine wants you to think as such.

He liked a pic of mine on the facetube, that most likely means he's just fine!
As long as it wasn't a pic of you, then we would have to worry.
