Important

The new scoot is in the back of the truck. The dealership experience left a little to be desired, but I got what I wanted and the boys had fun.

Red '10 month riding season' heep

Our 99 Dodge POS.. 207k on it... 1 tranny selenoid, 1 ABS line, 1 starter and 1 EGR valve/selenoid.

I thought it would be fine if it lasted till it got paid off before the tranny died... I'm still waiting...

I figured you would chime in. There are a few out there that aren't belt squealing trans eating piles of junk, but they're hard to find.

I don't think I'll ever buy another one. Wanted a Kia, but this thing came along at a good price so I snatched it up. Nothing major yet just nickle, and dime sht. Would of had a grand in fixing the A/C, but a friend of the family who does vehicle A/C work owed us a favor, and covered all costs except the parts which was like $180 bucks. What really gets me is the gas mileage. For the life of me I can't seem to get it to average above about 16mpg. I did a tune up (new plugs, wires, air filter, syn oil), and still shitty mileage. The only reason I went with a mini van over a three row SUV was because of the gas mileage. Hell I was getting 15mpg out of the 5.2ltr ZJ, and the Venture van it replace would average right around 20mpg, and get almost 30 on the highway if you drove it 55!

Making some tail light boxes for the XJ. Got to get the mounts welded on and tabs for the front cover.

My mom had a 91 Dodge Grand Caravan, bought it at 107k. 121k the transmission went out also. 1300 later, it was somewhat fixed, but never the same (rebuilt).

When my mom wrecked her 93 Sable, a friend has a used car lot, he had a 2000 Grand Caravan. I picked it up to show my mom. Drove to my moms job, but she wasn't there. Found her at Walmart and picked her up. Up until i picked her up, it worked fine but something was happening but I couldn't figure out what. Drove onto a highway and the transmission started slipping right away. The guy who had the lot had no idea the transmission was bad, he ended up taking it to auction later.

all dodge minivan transmissions will die. Dad's been through 4 or 5 in his two vans. They get about 80-100K it seems and go tits up.

Finally forcing myself to do a bunch of clean-up in my office. Got Pink Floyd _Pulse_ running on the stereo at the other end of the room. Nice having a couple of hundred watts of sound in the office. I really do need to get around to building a couple of subwoofers this summer.

Gotta love coming around the corner minding your own business in your lane and seeing some dumbass in A POS Chevy truck IN YOUR LANE! Kinda surprised I have a mirror still! I whipped around to try and get his plate number but he pulled over and stopped then turned around and hauled ass the other way. I'm sticking to keeping a front swaybar! :D
