if you werent so far away altrocker... a buddy asked me to keep an eye our for that very thing.
anyone here ever "share" storage/shop space with anyone? i have the chance to rent a garage space with pre fabbed shelves, a 8X14 storage room and an 8X12 work bench room...the guy wants $200 a month for the whole thing. its insulated and wired, but not heated. i think my wife would have a cow at first, but i can easily make the money back each month doing work out of the shop. would get all of my projects out of the garage too....i just want someone i know to give $50 a month to share the shelves and the extra storage room....
i work all freelance, so i am home for days, sometimes weeks...my problem is that when i start a project i have to either clean out my garage or move everything around to do it. i could leave my tools there and just pull whatever in i was working on in the shop...i also have been repairing outboards and building some little electronic toys for people (hunting products) and it is a tax write off for me. it has a 220 welder hookup and a spot for a compressor. just got word that the guy would do it for $150 if i split the electric with my buddy who rents the rest of the building. for the amount we use the electric it would probably be less than $25 a month most months until i ran a compressor or welder in there. its a 3 minute car ride and a 10 minute walk from my house and my buddy occupys the rest of the building...
oh and he has 3 kerosene heaters that sit in his shop right next door, so i wouldn't even have to buy one
Man, I really can't wait for stuff like that. For now our milestones are centered around him laughing, giving kisses and eating real baby food. The laughing and kisses are pretty fawking sweet!I taught my kid how to clap tonight! Pretty awesome feeling.

It seems each stage is more fun.
It keeps getting better. The first time shooting & hunting. The first time they drive your Jeep. The first time the cops show up at the front door. Better all the time.
JIM.
Now I bet someone crafty enough could figure out where I grew up.
Look at the bright side...you are getting to spend some quality time with your dad.
