Well I asked the guy from Texas if he was going to give me my full asking price for my 34 ft trailer and a deposit if I was going to plan a trip to Memphis to meet up...

He quit texting me...

so I take it he expected to beat you up on the price after you met him 10 hours from home?

Ya think? I'd expect nothing less. I'd also expect to get back in the truck and head for home with the trailer.

I don't know. We were on the verge of setting up a date to meet in Memphis and had never talked about price. So I ask, cause I didn't want to get 10 hours from home and have him try to pull something. Now, the guy in pirate and we know that pirate will take care of itself, but at the same time, I spent hard earned money to buy this trailer, pay it off, and own it free and clear to do what I do with it. I would be sick if I got screwed.

I just put it on craigslist, we'll see what scammers that brings. I'm thinking about the local photo ads to see if that garners any interest. Was good luck with the sale of the F450. I think that I missed the opportunity on the good deal of an enclosed, but there are more out there, I still have enough trailer to get one rig to winterfest...

I will keep my eyes out for an enclosed trailer. I know there's a 20 footer for sale locally, but I think that's smaller than you want. It's not priced badly, I think he's asking 1800.

I'm thinking 40 foot goose enclosed (living quarters up front). I could do 28 to 32 bumper pull enclosed(allows me to keep truck camper). Obviously I'm not in the position to buy unless my current trailer sells...

I'll look for a trans for you, but I'm pretty sure we don't have any junk yards like that around here...but you never know.

Seems there's a lot of really nice trailers for sale in my area. A lot of classic car guys around here that had enclosed trailers for their toys, but the toys are gone and the trailers are for sale cheap. I think a 40ft enclosed goose built racetrailer style would be super fly. I'm seriously considering redoing the inside of the weinerbox with a shower and toilet. I saw a layout the other day and it wouldn't take much to get me there with what I already have.

trans first though. I really hate 55.

edit:
28ft bumper pull.

I'm an hour from Cleveland, Columbus and Akron. So expand your search to those areas and I can always go look soething over for you.

36' goose.

44' goose with AC/Heat and flooring already done:

like I said, lots of classic car/drag racers in my area that can't afford to race anymore selling trailers.

I'm also hoping for 2-7k axles on a big bumper or 3-7k on a big goose...that said, for the right price I'd consider anything.

That 44ft looks nice.

Around 5k is a great price range for me also.

yeah, I figured that 44ft was a good deal if the AC/heat work.
If he'd throw in the genset for another couple o hundred it would be turnkey ready to go camping in anyway. Looks like it must have some sort of sleeping build above the goose, because I saw windows.

triple axle whatever. Like I said, lots of drag racing guys getting out of racing, so lots of big enclosed trailers out my way.

There was a 42 or 44 footer forsale in the local photo ad paper but I don't see it online. It had actual living quarters up front with a 24 ft garage (about perfect set up, two xjs needs 26 feet tho)...its was mid 90s and I think that they still wanted mid teens for it...which is too much I think...

I'll keep my eyes out on the craigslist, I'm on there weekly searching for a transmission or aux trans for the uhaul anyway.

if you find something you're interested in call and find out about it. I can go look things over for you.
