Important

Finally had spare time to start making repairs to the heep from the Badlands trip..Then my Friday changed, with a Home Invasion...

Patty(wife) yells NICK THERE'S A SQUIRREL IN THE HOUSE..Let me say ,you havn't lived till you get a frantic trapped squirrel out of your house. After a few minutes of strategy,I grabbed a large catfish landing net and went into the the danger zone. The creature was quickly spotted in the living room sitting in my chair.I guess what ever was on tv got his attention.:D Soon as we made eye contact he was on the move.I managed to trap him in a large window with blinds. As he hung above me with the help of the large blinds. No doubt seeing freedom just a few layers of glass away.I went to work on the lower part of the window removing two pains of glass and a screen. Then the wife says......

IT'S OUT.
Nick

Been there done that....

I ended up grabbing him from under the waterbed with the dresser under it with a leather coat on and welding gloves on. The german shepard was on one side of the bed.. and the Maine Coon cat was trapped under the bed also hissing like nuts.

City animal control told me they don't do squirrels in houses...

I picked up a 1998 cherokee yesterday. It has the 4.0 5 speed 4 doors and 201000 miles. He was back and forth on the price, but I took it home for 800. Now I. Plan to throw my budget boost and 30's on it next weekend and sell my 96 2 door that has the 2.5. It's going to be nice passing people for once!

Swap those 4:10 axles into the 98 before you sell the 96. You think the 96 has trouble passing now :) J/K, that wouldn't be a nice thing to do to the new owner of the 96, but it did cross my mind...

I was debating it, but I think I might look for an 8.8 with disc brakes and look for a better front axle then the 30... the factory gears should work nice with my 30's anyways

3.55s and 31s with a five speed was like factory for me.
easy and cheap to find 3.55 axles. assuming that they still had 3.07s with a 5 speed in 98.

Seven years ago my significant other decided to make a bad decision, she married me!!!!!!!!!! LOL :D Happy anniversary to my lovely wife today! How many more years of her life can I ruin? Hopefully a few more. :D :kissyou: Love ya lots!!

Aztek came in on a flatbed last week... Kid says "I hit a dog..."
Both air bags are blown. My boss asked him three times if he was sure he hit a dog
"Yup hit a dog."

Apon inspection.

Large scrape on the cradle and its crushed and twisted back. Rear cradle mount bolts are at a 45 degree angle. The tire is about an inch from the rear of the wheelwell.
Shoved the cradle back far enough that the sway bar pinched the rear O2 sensor wires off.

No hair or blood anywhere from the "dog"

Must have been a concrete statue of a dog.

Had one of those at the Jeep Dealer I worked for a while back. Kid said he was turning around in the street and instead of 3 point turning it he jumped the curb. There was more damage to the left front of the axle than you see in a 35mph+ crash.

Parakeet

I love this stuff. I don't care what you did, I'm not your insurance company or the police. I just want to know how to fix your car.

Me: Sir, did you try to install an aftermarket remote starter on your vehicle?
Customer: No, I didn't touch anything.
Me: There are several PCM wires that have been cut. Can you tell me anything that might help me determine which wires have all been cut and where?
Customer: I don't know. It just wouldn't start.

Please, lie to me...Its only going to make my job harder and cost you more.

The Exotic Feline Rescue center is a place for wild lions, tigers, bobcats to go when they were owned by individuals that shouldn't (or circuses). They have 100 acres of land and can hold up to 200 animals. They rescue felines from all over the country. It costs just 10 dollars to get in and you get to see about 38 cats.

Some photos, between the rain, cloudy skies and the grasses in and around the enclosures, I didn't get many pictures.
Had this one right at the entrance.

A canadian lynx. The paws on these cats are more for snow, like snow shoes.

The photos over all sucked, but for the weather conditions, were what they were. Going back in April (and maybe before that) to get better photos.

I have to go out for dinner with the inlaws tonight for my MIL b day, i predict a bad mood in my future.

Is it bad that I've seen two of the species cats you had pictures of in the past year? :scared:

Only one I was worried about was the mountain lion. That is one big cat that is unbelievably strong and quiet.
