Important

I owned a bar/restaurant for a year. It was a lot of work!
10-12 hour days 7 days a week. I had a ball!
I had the money to put into it and my ex bro-in-law had the experience.
I got out of it to be with Lar, she was in IL and I was in Florida.
Advice, have double the money you think you will need, don't have a partner, nothing like watching someone else piss away all of your money.
My partner was not truthful going in to it, he took cash advances on three credit cards, $30,000, to get in and had no living expenses. 6 of us were crammed in a two bedroom house that I was renting.
I took the kids and went to IL.
I would do it again? In a heart beat, if I had the money.
If any one wants some serious advice...

There is a crappy campground near me that has so much potential, I have been thinking about making the guy an offer.
Camping, food, beer, river rafting...

There's a few old campgrounds up here that are abandoned. Problem is where do you get customers for winter for your bar and restaurant? 70% of the people in this area are on fixed incomes. Snowmobile riders usually stay in the nicer resorts around here. Better off owning something on a reputable lake.

To catch up here:

1.) So far this year I have sold near $200k of product for where I work and I get shit for respect or $. I am not one to feel entitled to anything but come on I'm their top seller at least show me some respect.

2.) I have written a business plan (ok, more like an outline) for operating a bar/restaurant, and I'm very close to buying one of the few places that fit my requirements and going with it. There would be no more than one other person with me on it and I've been good with him for 10 years.

I can sling drinks like a mother trucker.

When you get a corporate jet and helicopter, let me know.

We (the farm) do have a plane...but just a 2 seater Piper that we jokingly call the "corporate jet". Not enough room in there for Camille and I to be members of the mile high club.....And as far as the helicopter.......I have pulled that one off a few times, but gotta do a lil fluffin action before hand :D . Oh, wait, I dont think we are talking the same helicopter.
