I think you'd still have me beat...at least that's one we know Flex wouldn't win.

Strange question - anybody know the weight ratings on stock Jeep alloys? I've got an itch to pimp out the camper with a set of XJ Turbines, but I don't want to be outside of the wheels' weight specs. GVWR of the trailer is 6500lbs.

Are they stamped on the rim? I have a set of rims in the garage that I keep thinking I'm going to put on something Jeep wise...next chance I get I'll look and see if they are stamped.

They should be stamped, but I don't know for sure. I don't have any more laying around here to check. I had a line on a set of Turbines a year or so ago, wish I had bought them.

step 1.

go to the steel store .

they would be rated to at least what the tire that was on it from the factory could hold. Be a good place to start with anyhow.

Good point. According to Tire Rack a 225/75R15 BFG Long Trail T/A is rated for 1874 lbs, which x4 would be 7496 lbs, way over the GVWR of the trailer. Even stepping down to a 215/75R15 is still rated for 1742 lbs, or 6968 lbs total.

Thanks Nate, hadn't thought of that.

Next step, anyone have a set of Turbines for sale :D
