I like big butts and you can not lie,
you other brothers cant deny
when a girl walks in with that itty bitty waist
and a round thang in your face you get sprung!

If you are my friend on Facebook you may already know this...but my squad got hit by a semi tonight on the interstate.

Actually I'll just quote from my Facebook post:
"I was assisting the state on a rollover semi accident. I parked and got out of my car. A semi was honking his horn, I looked up as the semi and trailer were sliding sideways towards my car...I was between the semi and my car. I ran around the front of my car and jumped over the jersey barrier as the trailer of the semi slid into my car. Damage to the car was minimal I think because the roads were so slick and my car slid after being hit. Busted window and crease in the c pillar from the bottom of the trailer. The car looked like it was under the trailer when in reality it was just the back half. After it was said and done I climbed in the passengers side to the drivers seat and drove out from under the semi."

Quick thinking and fast moving. Glad you made it out unscathed (except for a ruining a pair of shorts maybe). I don't envy anyone who has to get out of their car on a highway - officers, tow truck operators, stopped motorists or anyone else.

You guys probably didn't know that I had cat like reflexes...

good to hear your ok

I think the water pump is the same. the 96 spins backwards to my 95 4.0 xj motors so I think the 96 is more tj like stuff...i just wanted to make sure the 96 head would bolt up to the 99 intake and exhaust manifold.

mac 'main concern' gyvr

Yeah, just use the gasket that matches the head. I think, one or the other will work. We swapped a 94 XJ motor into a 97 TJ with little issue.

seriously though, good to hear you're alright. I would have required new pants.

That could start a whole multipage tangent on idiot customers. I'm with ya, I worked at Advance for ~2 years and got the whole range of customers. My favorite is the "all Chevy 350s are the same" people.
they aren't?

Oh yeah, some of them are still in chevys, I forgot.

pics, details, specs on said sister??

holy crap. Hope that never happens to me. Amazing how you change under sudden stress, I've done things without even thinking that I didn't remember till after the fact.

I stop occasionally if it looks like a mechanical problem I can help with... always stop as far off the side of the road as I can. The breakdown lane is a really dangerous place to be.

- Ken "and around here they make it worse by allowing travel in the breakdown lane during rush hour on some highways" Stein

yup.

They don't have the space or time or money to make i93 wider (it's 3 lanes and handles a LOT of traffic in/out of Boston during rush hour) so during rush hour they allow travel in the breakdown lane. If you have an actual breakdown you have to hope you can make it to the next pull-off spot, which is like a 200 foot long secondary breakdown lane.

I wish I didn't. I'd rather live in Vermont, New Hampshire, Montana, Idaho, etc. My ideal plot of land would be on the eastern slope of a decent sized mountain range with no neighbors within earshot, plenty of rocks, and no mud.

Western mass is about as close as I can get without changing jobs and pretty much leaving everything behind though, so here I am.

Is there anywhere to get your driver's record for free?
