Important

Wow 5 shots of Beam in 5 minutes after 4 beers in an hour and I'm drunk, it's pathetic. But i got to get sober so I can drive downtown and go out drinking with freinds tonight. Maybe Vegas aint so bad after all, it's mostly alcohol, women, alcohol, women, and more alchohol.

I really got to get my XJ fixed so I can go offroading out here, that roll at Haspin really trashed the stock axles (especially the front). Latest problem is a complety siezed upper ball jount adjusting sleeve on my '77 f150 d44, unless I can find a way to get it out it looks like new inner C on that side but I got to find another axle if I can't buy a new stock inner C (2 3/4" tube), if someone knows where I can buy a stock C let me know. I've tried torching it several times, broke my tool in it (so to speak) and most of the tabs off the top of the sleeve trying to get it out. Yes I've used a significant amount of PB blaster for a few days.

Apparentely my new name in my squadron is "Cooter". Could be worse
What happened with the cutie from Alaska?

I woulda married her but unfortunately she started sleeping around quite a while ago. Real shame but after enough alchohol I got over it. And my friend just pointed out I said something signiture worthy without realizing it

And by the way, CB antennas sticking out the side above the taillight are just asking for trouble, I destroyed a corner of my hatch (took me an hour with a pry bar to get it open) and busted a tailight. Mount it on the roof or a bumper.

SC "looking forward to KOH" Rednek

For the siezed adjusting sleeve, I used a drill bit (1/8" or so) and drilled down the side opposite of the slit in the sleeve. that loosened mine up enough.

I KNEW you would like VEGAS......

T-7 days until the Rolling Dumpster, FKA The Rolling Ramada will be gone!

"Georgie" as we un-affectionately call it, is, in fact, the largest pile of steaming crap to ever come out of Indiana!
Yes, even bigger than Flex!

Back home after 13 days on the road to Moab and other parts west, and over 3,500 miles on the Dodge with a red XJ tailgating me all the way. Pics will be up in a couple of days.

Oooo! Steaming?!?
Guess you skipped over that when you gave me the tour.

Thanks Brian, that did it! I ended up drilling 3 holes and knocking it out in quarters, but the new one went in just fine

Lightboxes look great Nick, you buy or make them?

Had some friends in town who wanted to go wheeling, so we tried to go to the Badlands on Saturday. Stopped a few miles away from home so we could pull my Jeep off the trailer and load up my buddy's janky Bronco. It was at that time I realized that my radio and CB had been stolen. Not upset about that, but the guy apparently didn't shut the door all the way, and my dome light ran down my battery, so the Jeep wouldn't start. Got it charged and at least did some wheeling yesterday. Wheeled with a random guy in an XJ, and spread the good word of NAXJA. :D

And then as we were baja'ing it back to the parking lot, the Bronco's failing rod bearing finally took out the motor. I guess if you're planning to swap a motor anyway, might as well destroy the old in style. So, all in all... pretty decent weekend!

As FlexdXJ approaches 11,000 posts...

This thread's post #1 was on 7/29/2005. In the 1908 days since then, we've had 19674 posts. That's 10.3 posts per day.

Aaron has been a member since 10/9/2007. In the 1106 days he has been here, he's made 10997 posts. That's 9.94 posts per day.

This answers a question that Josh posed to me. Unless he steps up his game, Aaron will never overtake this thread in post count.

ASSuming that 5% of Aaron's posts were in this thread, if he had never made those 550 posts, the Important thread post rate would be more like 10.0 posts per day, which is getting dangerously close to his post rate.

(MATH DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING)

Aaron, if you start posting (on average) one more post per day (which means you would need 1106 posts right away to make up for the time you've been here), then you will overtake this thread in post count in 37.1 years. But, if you quit posting in this thread altogether, therefore not working against yourself, then you can do it in about 25.8 years.

Don't feel obligated to respond to this post, I don't want to hurt your progress.

This thread started well before 7/29/05, but quite a few posts were lost when we had some server issues.

And in it's beginning, we were all post whoring it up, often pages per day :D

Yea, I was waiting for that... but since we don't have the numbers and it was well before my time I didn't mention it.

So when Aaron "catches up" in twenty-some years you can remind him of that. :D

With all that said he is also only 5th in line for post in this thread with 843 post

hale is holding the top spot with 1429

im in the running of the top 25 hanging in there at 24 with 301 and i have only been here about a year :D
