You have teh RENIX?

Dont' bother with the weirdo renix starter relay, it's terribly expensive. I rewired mine with a regular 4 pin relay years ago. It's not hard, if you want I can go olook at what color wires go where, it's been so long since I did it I couldn't tell you.

I've since found em from Rusty's (of all places!) under the originall Jeep p/n 3300 3934, for $18. I didn't think that price was bad.

I had just already cleaned, painted, and reinstalled mine, so I didn't bother.

Guess I will now, if I can't find em locally anywhere.

that's a new thing then. Last time I looked for one the cheapest I could find was like $70, also online.
I guess rustys must have commisioned a product run in China for renix starter relays.

Well the Blackberry took a dump today. Talked to verizon and they said even though its a used phone that the warranty covered it because the computer let him process the claim! :D So I get a free replacement. I don't get to shoot this one but the replacement may be getting shot when I upgrade my phone in October! I have an LG chocolate we can shoot at the pig gig though!

I am looking for the CB antanna mount that goes between the hood and fender on the drivers side. It is the one in the kit shown here http://jeepin.net/miscweb_album/images/DSC00567.jpg. I have found several like it but some say they are long and some say short but dont give actual dimensions so I am confused on which one that I need. I don't want it to stick a mile above the hood. I may just be retarded and am looking in all the wrong places.

If you guys have any other brackets that you suggest that is great too.

I made my own out of angle iron. I have since gone w/ a magnetic one b/c I dont care for one permanently mounted on the hood etc.

Fried zucchini for dinner!

I got one just like that at my local CB shop.

I also made a hand throttle at work today for free, it was kinda neat.

Went to the parts yard yesterday... scored two front shafts with the hubs still on them for $16/ea... I'll take that. Also got a passenger side door since mine wouldn't shut right. After I got the old door off, the bottom hinge literally fell off the welds. It's really tough to find a yellow door for a ZJ so I settled on white. Now I feel like white trash driving it around.

Almost did a last minute Badlands run today, but my buddy couldn't get his truck done in time, plus the Ferd is going to the shop Monday so I didn't want to risk screwing up the Jeep and not being able to drive it. Not to mention there's a slightly bigger wheeling trip next weekend. :D

What yard do you go to Brad? I have been looking for some yards to check out and see what they have but only know of 2 currently.

There are two yards in Indy we usually go to. One is Pic-A-Part which is around 21st St off I-65 downtown, and then Pull-A-Part which is down a little further by I-70 and I-65. Both are pretty good, cars are organized, parts prices are consistent and posted online, and Pull-A-Part even has an inventory search of what cars they have. I haven't found any good yards closer than Indy, so I usually try to get a decent-sized list around to make the hour-long drive worth it.

And this is different from any other day...........................:D

Thank you, I was waiting for that response from somebody. :D

Hey pull me a ZJ rear disc setup next time you go there! :D If I don't take vacation before the weekend I end up having to work.

No problem. I see them selling on here for quite a bit usually. I can get backing plates and calipers pretty cheap there, if that's all you need. Usually junkyard rotors and pads aren't worth using.

I converted my D35 from drum to disc on my ZJ, it's a snap.

Yeah I'll but new rotors and pads. Gonna get the rear axle from the old Jeep regeared and convert it to discs to match my new front axle.

Ok thanks. Any Idea when you may be going back? The pull apart says they have 3 cherokees down there and I am looking for a hitch for mine but they can't tell me whether it has a hitch or not so I guess I will need to go look.

Still an XJ dash, good enough for me! Looks killer, man...

Can you tell the difference in unibearings by sight?

I always meant to take critical measurements, but never have.

I guess you could just look for HO badges on the donor, and that'd get you close...
