I'm still wheeling xjs.

The YJ will be a grocery getter.

mac 'take that' gyvr

is it the proper colors?

cause that's going to go pretty well wit the vanity plates.

do you have the Macguyver Boxed set? My wife bought it for me for Christmas, she regrets it.
All 11 seasons (like 30 DVDs) and 3 made for TV movies!

wifey called and said she scored a Nikon Coolpix camera for $50 at Walmart today b/c they just put the last one on clearence. It is a low grade cheapy camera, but perfect to throw in the XJ. Finally might get some pics of the current progress of the XJ too.

Rewster engineering made this one

I actually started making a bracket very similar to that one but decided that I would end up catching it on something or smashing it into the Jeep.

I know it's a fat chance, but I'm going to submit my Creep for the July ROTM... Working on picking the best shots of it...

I would appreciate some votes when the time comes... ;)

Got rubber chunks flying off of the harmonic balancer. It's moved out far enough that the belt has jumped over a rib. Piss poor timing. We're now down to only one vehicle. The truck is the only one on the road! Wyfe's van is at the stealership with A/C issues.

Is the harmonic balancer a PIA to swap? I've never dealt with one.

The puller make a big difference...

You don't need the press thing though.... using the bolt and going slow with a breaker bar does the trick.

I use one of those chain wrenches to hold the balancer when loosening and tightening the center bolt.

Thanks for the heads up fellas. Doesn't sound like it's that bad of a job. I stop by AutoZone and get a puller.
Now, my only issue is time..........not enough of it.

Made my way back up to Green Bay over the weekend. Went out to a little fest-type event that Kim was doing some jumping in...I have video! He had his old DD out there ready to beat the hell out of it. And the pork roast was good up there too. I know this got mentioned somewhere in some thread...Whatever. It was a good time.

Ranchstock is always a good deal, wheeling, jumping, pig and beer. I saw the video, he did better than last year! I woulda seen you there but I had to work Saturday.

Its green with a tan top and tan interior...its the closest I've ever had to the MacGyver jeep. Look back a couple pages in this thread and I posted pics.

Dunno about the vanity going to it tho, its nice having the truck due in april and the rest of the jeeps in september...splits up the cost of registering everything.

I have all 7 seasons on dvd...

mac 'angus' gyvr

is it only 7? Shit, I haven't made it past season 4 in the box set. I know there's a TON of DVDs in there, with 3 or 4 episodes per.

87 "loves me some macguyver, but not in a gay way" manche.

Man you guys oughta see this dude that started on my line yesterday. He's a super nice guy and all but his fashion is,well, in need of an update. He has a curly mullet and get this, today he's wearing a sleeveless wolf t-shirt. If I had to guess what he drives, I would have to say beat up Camaro. I will have to confirm that though. :roflmao: Billy Ray Cyrus would be jealous of this pristine mullet!

I bet he's got all of his teeth!

That's why he's the ladies man of the trailer park. I can say that I spent my teenage years in one. I got out though. :D

Steel toes are required here, shorts aren't cut off but are Camo and I covered the shirt already.

Got the Stupid Duty back tonight, and wow, it actually tracks straight down the road now! Almost worth the $830.

And the Jeep has a rough idle, a funny knocking sound, and stalled on me twice when I went to get it.

Harlan here we come!

What did they do to the Ford?

Ball joints. Previous owner had put some Moogs in, which apparently can cause binding and steering wandering, especially if they aren't installed right. They also did axle seals and changed a U-joint while they were at it.

Without anywhere big enough to comfortably work on it, and knowing I needed the truck for this weekend, I didn't want to tear into it and figured I'd just pay to have it done.

I really shouldn't complain about it, the problem's fixed and hopefully I won't have to spend any more money on this sucker for a while.
