Almost had a bad experience. I was out in the garage grinding off the old LCA mounts on my front axle. Saw a spot I missed and went back to do it real quick - wasn't paying attention to the cord and caught it with the grinder. I got lucky, shut it down quick and even though wires were exposed, it didn't decide to use my body as a path to ground.

It's plastic bodied, maybe that had something to do with it.

And yes I'm either buying a new one or replacing the whole cord, electrical tape isn't good enough for me.
 
Glad you are OK, could have been worse..did ya see that pic I posted up last winter when the grinder went into my thigh? :D merely a flesh wound, but I have a nasty scar now that begs for the everyday question from my son "what did you do to your leg Daddy?"

Thanks Tyler. Actually, I thought about your experience right after it happened. I went and checked the cord and I did cut halfway through the hot wire in the cord. Guess the plastic casing saved me, otherwise I probably would have gotten a shock and dropped the damn thing and then I'd be competing with you. :)

I'll definitely be there. I think Aaron is driving up to my house and I'll drive the final stretch. Probably bring some of the local hoodlums that usually tag along.

Can't wait to see the tent campground in John's front yard. :greensmok
 
cool deal. I was mentioning to Camille that I was hoping to get to hang out with you guys more since I did not get to make it to Redbird. I am kicking around the ieda of a get together this late summer or early fall at our place. It is a haul for most members, but I think if a few are willing to make the haul I will put something together.

Looking forward to it, seems like at the wheeling events everyone is busy with stuff. Had a blast at Pig Gig and I think BrewFest will be a lot of fun too.

Tyler, if you have an event out at your place I might have to make the trip, as long as we can play with some of those military trucks. :D

I don't think there's room for a tent in the front yard. We're on a cul-de-sac, and it's pretty much all driveway and rock gardens :D



I think we can squeeze two or three tents in the back yard, though



(takes me 12 minutes to mow the lawn) :D
 
that is definatly a thought. It is a small park, but it is only like 2.5 hours from here. I was even thinking about a non-wheeling event at the farm..beer, bbq'ing and just some hanging out. Maybe a lake weekend just chillaxin' on the pontoon?? Any thoughts or word on the Pig Gig this year?
 
No, we've not really talked about it. We need to do that and, get a date nailed down. Didn't we do Labor Day weekend last year?
 
John, can Camille and I reserve a room at your place for Brewfest? We are still in for the trip!

yup, it was that weekend b/c I remember having to pay holiday rate in St Louis for the overnight stay and there was crazy traffic and cops everywhere.
 
I call that little bit in the backyard! :D
