Wanna look at my 01 when you're done? :)

Won't return to center, constantly pulling left or right except occasionally when I can get it centered, for about 10 seconds. Feels a little like memory steering, other times feels like there's not enough caster. I've had 3 alignments done and no fix yet. Suspecting ball joints but I don't want to dig into that and I haven't had time to take it in lately. Too busy sitting at work posting on NAXJA.

And the shop that did the alignment suggested a steering stabilizer for mine, too. I told them they did nothing but hide problems and I should take it off completely to make sure the problem is fixed. Ugh.

I went round and round with something similar...

Mine ended up being the axleshaft ujoint. It didn't sieze up all at once, it'd sorta jam just off center, and pull to one side. Then the shaft would flop 180*, and it'd pull the other way.

Try engaging the 4x4, but not the hubs, to see if you can feel the shafts spinning.

I'll give it that a shot and see if I can feel anything unusual going on. It wouldn't surprise me, 147k miles on it and it spent most of it's life in the salt pit called Michigan.

The front ends on thees things are picky just like the jeep, i have sold ball-joints,tie-rods and drag-link ends all for similar problems

Wifey got some new material to make curtains for the new camper..it is funny that she "asks" me what fabric/patterns I like and I tell her..but she still chooses what she wants :dunno: Maybe it was because I was looking at tropical patters in neon colors..and I also tried for the Al Borland flanel look..did not happen...I have some flooring left from our house, so I am putting in new wood floor and trim to fancy this cream puff up a bit :D

Not that I'm an expert on the female brain's workings, but maybe she asked you about the curtains so she can feel like she's including you. Or maybe she just wanted a good laugh.

a cable broke on the garage door tonight...

i just replaced the opener...now a cable goes...

this looks more intense than the opener...

and this garage door only opens 15 to 20 times a day...

mac 'home ownership...blaaaaaaaaaah' gyvr

I have watched a spring unload. Went right through the garage wall on the opposite side and landed ten feet outside the garage. I will NEVER work on my own garage springs and wires. Just not worth the chance in my opinion.

Sanding, grinding, and painting outside the past two days SUCKS!!!!!! Just to damn hot for it. But the good thing is that I got my a/c going in the garage. So nice.:D

Its hilarious that we all go out knowing one wrong move and its on its lid but we all run and hide from a little 'ole spring! :D Seriously though, those things are nothing to play with.

Flexd'XXXX those things'XJ
