Important

gonna go and pick up a camper for the back of the truck in a few hours...it is a Jayco w/ a pop-up top. Nice shape and one owner and always been in a shed when not in use. Pretty basic, but just what I need for now. These for a shortbed truck are kind fo hard to find in my parts.

I went and picked this up this afternoon. The guy said it was for a short bed, but it is actually for an 8ft bed. fits my sb fine w/ the tail gate down. Clean as a whistle inside and out. Not gonna win any beauty contests for style, but function before fashion.

Thanks Nick! I just hate Chrome on a Jeep so I will probably get some and paint them silver.

:roflmao: Thanks Hale!

They should have sent you a Mall Rated badge with all that stuff :D

I'm surprised they didn't send them for as long as I had to wait.....................Brian! :D

Thanks man, I am pretty pleased with it, I need to wash it up..have not washed it since WF..it has been raing so much that the rain is washing it for me.

NO, it is aBull Buster Bumper made right here in Unionville, Missouri. They have a awesome group of fabricators and are good guys to deal with...they claim to be built heavier then a Ranch Hand and a bit more friendly on your wallet :D

Nick, teh prior owner quesstimated to to weigh betweeen 800-1000#. It did not squat the truck much at all and did not really notice it on there on the trip home...but if it was windy, I bet it is really gonna let me know it is there! :D

It's hard to remember that your objective is to drain the swamp when you're up to your ears in alligators...... why are my ankles sore?

Been working far too many hours, right about the time that I thought it was going to ease up a bit. Still managed to finally hang lights out in the garage. When we moved in a year ago, it had 2 100w incandescents. Now it's got 8 4' fluorescent fixtures. Not so much of a dark cave now.

Went to a M&G for a Ford Crown Vic club with a friend, drove my jeep... Met in Blaine, MN, drove over to Taylor Falls, MN then crossed over and ate dinner. I then drove back WI side through New Richmond and Baldwin back to Menomonie... Was a pretty good time. Creep had a hard time keeping up with the Vics on the freeway... Doesn't like extended driving at 80-85MPH... Looking to install aux tranny cooler now...

Figured they weighed more than that, nice info to have. If I continue to pull a single I may look at one, I have the 6 3/4' bed but it sounds like the tailgate thing worked pretty well for you.

Of course if I get some more land and a two place hauler and start pulling double then the extra weight will be a lot bigger deal. Gotta make this truck work since I can't afford to upgrade for a while.
