The C5s will do right around 170 I believe. A new C6 Z06 will do over 200mph. I would expect that the trip from 150 until 200 is both incredibly boring and incredibly scary at the same time.

You guys know that the factory speedo is very inaccurate above 85MPH some as low as 60MPH, right?
The best thing to do is stop a cop and ask him to check your top speed with his radar gun.....

Sometimes they will offer that service without you even having to ask. They'll even give you a printed copy to confirm it.

Fastest I've gone is 132...when it had less than 500 miles on it...07 Impala, 120 to 132 was like an eternity...

Totally unrelated but as long as you're here, I think you mentioned something a while back about needing an NP231, did you ever find one? Found out that the one I bought (from a 96) won't work for my old POS.

i did mention that, and i ended up stripping a 96 xj that i had sitting around with a blown head gasket and rusty floor boards, so i have the 231 out of that...if you come up with a 242 out of something 96ish, let me know, might be an interest there, i had a 242, but it was dealt in a trade before I realized the need...so I'm off to look for another.
