Important

Just thumbed through my fastenal big blue book, and I couldn't find any, either. The closest I could find were the dainty little "J" nuts, basically just a threaded clip, like the ones that hold our fenders on...

Sorry.

Robert

Well, shoot. I know what you're talking about with the fender clips, I believe those are spring nuts or speed nuts. Guess my best option is to just get some new hardware and cut out a sheet metal flag and weld it on. Hopefully the next time I have to deal with the exhaust again it'll be to put headers on and I'll have all new hardware. Thanks for looking for me.

Ok i gotcha lemme check im thinkin captured nut but i know its not it.

Trust me, that's not what you want......I've had that before and I was sore for 3 weeks. Hurt like holy hell!

Got the February issue of JP last night. There's some good info in it about building an XJ. One good article on a killer waggy. If you don't subscribe, you may wanna pick it up off the news stand (for the beginner on those articles) or just subscribe. It's a valuable magazine to have laying around. Lots of good tech in there every month.
