Important

The 6.5 isn't as big of a turd as most people think. It's no Cummins or Powerstroke, but it will get the job done. I looked into a Cummins, but in my price range they either had 300k+ or were clapped out. 1 ton Fords were the same way. Didn't want the TTB crap in a 250. This truck has *only* 150k.

It will get exhaust right off the bat, but I'll have to save a bit before I can really juice it up. It already has a GN ball in the bed :D

Thanks!

SOunds like a pretty good deal. Do a little work to it and Most of all, DON'T MAKE IT SMOKE LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN. Not really worried about you doing that though Byron I have faith in ya! :D

Byron, we had a 95 (or 96, cant remember) Chevy w/ the 6.5 in it as a chore truck. In all honesty, it was one of the better trucks that we had around at the time. Now granted we had a flat bed/bale bed on it and it was abused everyday of its life, it was a damn good truck. It would still be around but we got the itch to trade it in on a 99 Ford 7.3 (the one that was wrecked on the ice a few years back) and yes there was a bit of power/torque increase with the Ford, but we have had to replace multiple trannys in the Ford. You should get along just fine with that truck. Ours had over 200K of hard miles on it and it still was running good when traded in....but looked like hammered shit! :D

When you're ready to sell it in 6 months let me know.:looney: JIM.

It's become a possibility that I will be providing protective services for the transport and possible sale of diamonds.

Hey Everyone, John(lesslimited) and Wade(89eliminator) Both have rigs in the running for rig of the year. Vote for one of them so The MWC can once again Reign supreme!

Will do! The distributor has been swapped out and everything is good to go.

This is off subject alittle. but i just want to think you all for a great site. ive been on other 4x4 sites and honestly, they suck. im just glad to have found an xj forum to where there are friendly people, good tech, and im not afraid to post questions or comments.

i think ive found a new home as far as forums go. within the month i would like to become a full member, and i plan on attending WF if possible. and i plan on being at any and all events.

thank you all very much.

Come on, it's the Important thread, everything here is off-topic! :D I can't take credit for the quality of this place since I'm in the same boat as you, still amazed at how many great people there are here. NAXJA is the first forum (well, club) that I have truly wanted to stick around and be a part of. Join up, attend WF (it's only a few hours away - even if you aren't going to wheel at least show up), and you'll know that it's the people that really make the difference here.

Hell yeah, it's cool! I get to use my piece in a semi-professional matter.

how does that work? I work for a armored truck company and carry alot of money and other valuables.
Are you in a uniform and carrying open? do you just take it in a regular car? I hope you are or will be wearing armor! I think any job you need a gun for you should be wearing armor.

both of us have the least amount of votes. with the MWC backing one of us has got to win.

Yeah, I only had to install it once. Turned the key and it started! and no weird grinding, also found that the ring for the CamPS was grinding on the hall sensor itself. So things were probably ready to take a dump in a big way.

Sounds like a potentially fun position, good luck.

Don't forget the key.:dunce: JIM.

Thanks for reminding me, Jim! It hasn't had the lock back in it since I got back from Pig Gig. It is a carry weapon, not just a target piece. But, yeah...don't forget the key. Lol!

Alright, I'll break it down. I have a friend who is selling her engagement ring. She's trying to sell it on craigslist. Of course, you don't know the people you're meeting with. She doesn't carry, and asked me to go with her and she will be compensating me. So, I stretch the truth a little...I thank you kindly to climb off my back at this time.
