Indeed! Very cool picture lesslimited! I wish there was a ROTM thread to go along with each selected winner/picture, for discussion of things like "how far can you tip without flipping"... or am I just blind and not seeing said thread?
<chuckle> Yes, it's a *VERY* good picture.

Fall Fling, 2004 (http://chixjeff.dnsalias.net/Fall_Fling-2004 ,) Behind the Rocks. I don't remember the name of that particular obstacle, but John did a beautiful front wheel stand. And set it back down on the tires.

, John.

So who do we put up against the So-Cal guys for the next ROTM?

I think I proved that a killer pic can beat them, even with rusty shocks :D

Something well built, that doesn't look like ass, preferably with one or more wheels in the air, in a scenic location...

Anyone know who they plan on having enter?

Brian, Les, Macgyvr, Pat, and Wheeler all have some good shots of their rigs in action, and their rigs all look pretty good. SeanR, as long as the pic doesn't show the passenger side. I know I'm forgetting someone.

I vote SeanR, it would be nice to see his rig make rig of the month before he sells it.

I had the nice wheel stand pic from last weekend (see Tri-State pics in the MWC), but it is not a very scenic pic and there was some dousche bag that walked into the picture to F' it up for me. A little photo cropping would probably help, but maybe I can get some better shots in the coming trips.

Mac - I'm sorry about not getting straps to you. I owe you the cash.

J

I want/need the straps, having to borrow a set everything I use the trailer is getting to be a pain...

least I got the title ;)

mac 'you've still got my address' gyvr

Wifey hit a deer this morning....

The village idiots slapped a non-compliance notice on my Comanche today...

This day really sucks....

Sorry to hear about the deer.

Whats a non-compliance notice.

The deer is presumably fine....He ran away.

A non-compliance notice means it is not complying with village ordinances on vehicles. So that if I don't put plates and move it in 5 days they will tow it

So I need to spend money putting new plates on it.. or find a place to store it.

I do not understand these laws.

What a great America ... Freedom yes! Well, as long as your complying? :puke:

Good Luck!!

Oh, I have heard of those laws before but i wasnt sure what they called them.

They seem pretty lame to me.

Chain it down, or place explosives on it, or make it impossible to tow. You could have fun with that one. The deer thing is not that much fun, been there. I don't know the condition of your MJ so that would be a deciding factor. :D
I just find it surprising (wait... no I dont) that they can just decide they want to enter private property and do what they want. I'm sure your town has better things to do than to drive around checking vehicle parked in driveways. At least I'm assuming driveway.

Even in po-dunk USA, population 1300, we have the same retarted ordinance. It is only upheld if the city ordinance officer has a beef with you or if your whiney ass neighbors complain. I am so glad I live in the country :farmer: My nearest neighbor is about a mile away :D

I don't think my neighbors will complain about me, at least to the east. 2 weeks after I moved in, I replaced the C/V assembly & front hub in his son's ZJ and saved him a few hundred bucks. Considering that he's an out of work electrician....

Last night after drinking a few beers and watching the rain from the garage.Decided to paint on the rig.. I managed to gather up nine cans of black paint. (three flat, three satin, and three gloss)

It looked good last night at 11pm after six beers in the dark..

One more cup of coffee and I'm heading to the garage to see it somber and in the light.

Nick

from the sounds of that mix Nick, ya might want to add some Bailey's to your coffee ;)

on a side note, we painted my buddies rig before we left out last week for our trip, we mixed a can of gloss black and a can of flat black to get a matte finish...not too bad of a job for using VanSickle inplement paint :D $40 and done!

Playing hookie and going out on the boat. Ah its fun to leave work on a nice day. :D

Got word my buddy secured 300 acres in south Texas for Dove season. I am heading down there for the slaughter a couple weeks after Pig Gig, so at least I have a chance to polish up my shotting skills before I head south
