Maybe I am just reading you posts wrong, but you have posted twice that after replacing switch you got it to start and it died. The Passlock relearn directions clearly state DO NOT start vehicle.

One other thing to try is, with the key out of the ignition, to use the power door locks to lock & unluck, than try again.

Well.. the mini-van tranny decided that we don't need any gears than First and reverse....
Fluid looks great.. and no material visble in it.. no slipping either. Just two stiffer than normal shifts and no gears...

Here is hoping that its just one of the selenoids....

i was starting it and letting it die till i talked to you.
i tried what you said.
i turned the key on. then to crank for a split second then to the on position. i didnt start the car. let it sit. and the light stil never went off.
no dtc codes.



the scanner i have isnt a good one. i hate it. dad paid $300 for it and its worthless. i can get a redbrick on ebay for that.

That thing looks great! Hey, there's an FSJ near me for sale...might be good for parts. Kinda far I know, but let me know if you want me to check it out. Been sitting there for a few months with $1,500 on the window...they might be ready to deal.

Damn Rev, I wish I would have checked this earlier, I would have drove up and bought ya a steak dinnner and a cold beer or 39. It is only about an hour plus from my place to get up there. The Americ Inn in Ottumwa is nice (if that is where you are staying).

My wife's family is from Ottumwa (and has an old motorhome like in Christmas Vacation).

MIOBI's play area is not far either.
