And it's my and Cindy's 18th anniversary today (6+6+6) :eek:

Congratulations John ... give Cindy a hug fer me. Missed seeing you guys at Brewfest this year.

It was amazing seeing the power from Ike this far inland. That had to be a hell of a storm down on the coast of Texas.

I am still without power, they are estimating it may take up to 14 days to get everyone's power back up.

we received over 10 inches of rain in less then 24 hours at our place. everything flooded like hell. County roads and highways were underwater for most of the weekend. We have officially called it a total loss on all of our crops and are just looking forward to next year at this point. Winterfest just can not come fast enough for me at this point!!!!!! I need a good wheelin vacation! :D

Been there, done that. Dad's lost his entire sweet cherry crop to less than a half inch of rain the night before they were ready to harvest. Or the whole cherry crop due to frost right after blossom.

Been using the XJ as my daily driver ever since I sold my truck last winter. This weekend I decided to park the XJ for a while, and start driving my WJ. On my way to work Monday morning, five miles away from home, someone tried to pass me and kicked up a very large chunk of pavement. It smashed the bumper, AC condenser, and radiator. So, I'm back to driving the XJ again. After all of that drama, took my time getting to work and got 20 mpg in the XJ. I think I'm just going to keep driving the XJ for a while.

Got a call from Duke energy last night, they called to let me know the power was back on.......I was sitting in my house when they called.......Fawking liars......Still no power this morning, they are now thinking Sunday.

plowed a deer this morning on the way to chore. missed the momma but plowed over jr like butter on a hot griddle :D It is amazing what a F-250 bumper will do to a small deer at 65 mph............. kind of reminded me of sloppy joes on the highway...with hair :( only damage to the truck was that it needs to be washed now :D

less then 10 more posts to go until the big 10K for this thread...........

ah nevermind
<EDIT>
Hmmm...as chapter VP I have taken this back....for the chapter.
