Important

In Evansville, IN... people here can not drive. If anyone is in this area looking for work, shoot me a PM. Have to drive through the crummy towns of Flora and Louisville, IL to get here. Two lane roads the whole way, makes for an interesting drive as long as you aren't stuck behind a tractor or combine.

Quad cities got hit pretty hard by some storms this morning. Got a call from a friend that owns an offroad shop there; no power, 100mph winds, powerlines down everywhere, trucks blown over, etc... He said the Stihl dealer had a generator and opened up, sold out of chainsaws in 15 minutes. I have to go back up there later this week, going to be interesting to see how my site looks.

Give me a holla sometime when you're driving through. I'll give you directions to mi casa. It's not too far off 45 at all.

You can take 45 to Barnhill and then hop on 64. That's usually how we get to Eville.

Harpole's used to be a pretty good place to grab a beer in E-ville. Or the Duck Inn. Hacienda used to serve a mean liquid cocaine, they will mess you up.

Just got back to the hotel from work......

no parking spots left....I had to park in the lot next door. Freaking power company trucks everywhere, guess they had a storm a few days ago. I counted 24 large bucket trucks, 10 smaller buckets, 15 trailers and bunches of HD pickups.

Looks like a sea of white.

yeah a strong storm came through a few days ago. i saw all those trucks tonight, around the entrance ramps for i-70. at lonestar and the drury i think. we were just over at terre haute at the race track. silver crown sprint cars where running tonight, boy was that track dry. they ran 100 lap race. the local guy (from Olney, IL), Levi Jones, didn't win.
