Important

ANY vehicle with a trailer...
Trucks over 4 tons...
Second divison vehicles...(D plates or above)...

55 MPH.

Having done a little more research on this.....

Sean tells me "duh, of course you need a sticker", like I should have known.

Seems the only time you will get hassled is if you are...

Being an idiot.
Driving a commercial, or seemingly commercial, vehicle.
Stopped for something else.
OR...the biggest one....driving thru a jurisdiction that needs a few extra bucks to balance the budget.

having discussed this at lenght with the wife over the weekend.....I will be taking mine to the safety test the first chance I get.

Gotta start watching those signs.

IIRC it is also illegal to use a radar detector/jammer in commercial vehicles in IL. I know yours isn't "commercial" Rev, but you may want to find a good hiding place for yours if you run one.

Edit: I've never had a problem running 60-65 mph with a trailer between Vincennes and Louisville. I've also never seen an IL state trooper or county sherriff along the way either.

Byron, you realize that you have just jinksed yourself dont you??? :D

When we came over to WF we just set pace with a trucker in front of us and ran 65-70 the whole way across IL and it was not too bad. Hopefully I can find another speeding trucker for WF09!!

Went to the County Fair yesterday....

Heh, yeah. Since the flood there have been several troopers in the Westport/Lawrenceville areas to watch for looters. I'll have to be careful next time I head that way.

I have come to the realization that the entire purpose of college is to make you able to take the question, what is 2 + 2, and come up with a 5-7 page essay on the answer. No wonder it takes college edumacated people 10 minutes to give you a yes or no answer!!!

This happens mostly with the ones who stay for more than 4 years.

Tonights hotel backs up to the TA.

Unfrtionatly I am in a room that is 20' from the parking area....for overnight trucks....these guys need to get APUs....kinda like sitting in an airplane.

The good news is that hopefully the constant drone wll help me sleep.

APU's are way louder than diesel trucks. My office is next to the flightline.
Got that right, those things are loud!

Why must you tease rev.

I am refering to the over the road truck units....not the aircraft version.....you need to leave your office once in a while. :D

It was working....slept fine until some Swift knucklehead backed into the concrete blocks that line the parking area....that woke me up.

Shit.

Guy in the room next to mine had a heart attack about 4AM, guess he made it. Thunderstorms all morning.

Take a moment today to remember...

Rev, that's still better than what Deb & I had going on a few years ago in Davenport, IA.

Somebody got stood up and cuffed against our room door, and another individual got told "Walk away NOW or you're going downtown, too." Underage party got busted a couple of doors down.

I was delayed on a flight once.
the passengers got off the plane.
then a fire truck and ambulance came with the lights on.
they took some dead guy off the plane.
gave me the goosebumps. yuk.
