Paid hourly, thank God. Once in a while we get busy, but not yesterday. Today isn't looking so hot either.

Yesterday was bad for us too, and today is looking the same i have been here for 2 hr and only looked up parts for 3 jobs we only sold 2 of them so far
good thing your paid Hourly, im on salary so i make money weather were slow or busy (or if i skip out early)

that's awesome when lightly loaded, I was getting the shaft earlier this year because I was doing 70-80 hours most weeks and "only" 60 on others, on 40 hour salary... fortunately that has backed down to 40-50 hour weeks most times now.
I knew he'd sold his XJ, it's been talked about here a couple of times.

My stupervisor is salary. Gagh that a$$wipe urks me. He sits in A/C, screws up the schedule, gets pissed at the techs for said schedule, watches DIY home improvement videos on youtube, browses softcore porn sites and sleeps at his desk.

Yea i pull 50 hrs a week and only paid for 40 it sucks but was a little bump from my hourly pay and i get the perks of sneaking out early
dont you hate that, my area is in the tool room for the shop i got brick walls on 3 sides of me and the parts shelfs in back no air flow, brought in 2 fans but they just circulate the hot air, there is a couple lights out in some of the isles but i haven't replaced them cause it makes it that much cooler in here
my manager sits in the AC searching ebay and craigs list all day for hunting and fishing supply's, its been hotter than shit in the sun here and the other day he comes in back laughing i ask him what he was laughing at he says for the last 2 hrs the janitor has been cleaning the service desk area cause it has AC and its hot out side, i got all pissy cause i was covered in sweat and i had the swamp ass going on and said i couldn't even tell it was hot out side
when i walk into the AC frickin steam comes off my head

I sit in the AC and watch machines run unless I'm fixing first shifts mess ups. Which is pretty often. The dude is so scatterbrained that he tries to do ten things at once but should only do one. if I don't run more parts than him its because my machines are broke. All in all I have it rough...............

At least my service writer (not supervisor) told me the other day she was feeling sorry for all the work she was piling on me while I had to bust ass and sweat balls to get a customer out of here. It was 90*+ before heat index and humidity. I do like turning in repair orders to the office to chill for even a couple minutes in the A/C but then I resent my boss for sitting in there all day until he comes out to bitch at us.

Yeah... that's the one plus about the goofy number of hours I was pulling. My office is air conditioned, my apartment is only air conditioned when I feel like paying the bill for it (i.e. just enough to cool down at the end of the day, and only in one room.)

my house is set at 69* degrees...
i'm confined to my house tho til the 25th due to recovering from tonsil surgery...and with unlimited paid sick time (with a doctors note, up to a year), i'm not complaining too much about the timing with the 90+ degree days...

My office has a toilet, a roll of drawing paper and a ventilation fan. It's a tight quarters type cubicle. But, I do get 3G in there...Never without internet connectivity in my office. I do need a better secretary though.
