Important

They're predicting snow here overnight, which means 3 snowflakes and a puddle might be on the road.

Still, it will be chaos and anarchy in the morning. Southerners are clueless when it comes to driving in anything but warm and sunny.

Wifey called me this morning and the neighbors well/pump house door blew open last night. They have frozen lines to their house and livestock...sucks to be them. I offered my salamander heater to help thaw things out, but I have a feeling they will have some busted lines :( I offered up some of my open pasture that has functioning water tanks on it to them, so it looks like we will be moving cattle today to help them out....did I mention I hate 0 degree temps w/ 30 mph winds? :D
Good man, Tyler!

If they've got lines broken underground, they're in a world of trouble.

10 degrees here this morning. Warmest it's been in over a week.

agreed, i dont listen to the radio i cant remember how many times ive showed up to class only t find nobody there because the cancelled it for snow.... for some reason they always go to the grocery store to buy milk and eggs too..... like those items will make weathering the blizzard of the century more comfortable....

Warmed up to 20F here and we finally have some snow on the ground (and more coming down). This is my second winter with 4wd and I still can't get over how cool it is.

I'm that guy who never clears his driveway... just another reason the neighbors love me.

This is my 3rd winter with it and It is very fun but I mainly leave my jeep in 2wd in the snow! :D

My tires must suck, I can barely whip donuts in 2wd. Not even enough traction to pick up speed. I do love sliding around corners with all four tires throwing up snow though!

Got new cylinder heads, bolts, gaskets, exhaust, radiator, etc. etc. for the ZJ, hopefully I'll have that pile running by the end of the weekend. Still have to get it lifted and skids on by WF. Time flies when you don't have enough of it!

I gotta buddy who moved back to Cookville from here. He told me last night that they had already cancelled school for today. He just had to call me and make sure I understood that he could still see most of the grass and everybody was getting into a big frenzy. I can barely see the road and we still do 55...well, I do. Some others do too, but some idiots...well, they don't drive for $#!+.

Had a good time skiing with friends here last weekend. And I somehow decided that I was going to go to school over break. Something is clunking in the passenger side front area now. With it being cold n all I hope it goes away before I have to check it.

its funny we were talking about this, it took me almost 45 minutes to get 7 miles home today because of a bunch of raving idiots, stuck and broken and blocking icy roads.... i lost count of the stranded cars, i helped two of them out but after that i was just mad at them all, especially with the family in the truck, i just put it in 4wheel and weaved through them post zombie apocalypse style;)

Its 6:25 pm and I am about to have breakfast. Biscuits and gravy that is! :yelclap:

I keep trying to get my wife to move from here. I hate winter, I hate snow and I hate cold. Everyday of winter I hear New Mexico calling me, taunting me even....

I think that I chapped my eyelids... 30+ MPH winds last night and windchills at -25 and we were out in it until about 11:30 last night...did I mention I hate snow and ice and extremely cold weather :D

Weather like that requires a lot of bundling up... including goggles.

I wish I had some goggles. I "thought" my glasses would help w/ blocking the wind, but not enough apparently. We just dont get these kind of temps and weather and it is definatly an eye opener to everyone around these parts. It gets cold and snowy but the wind and extreme cold is a different creature. What sucks is that you have to bundle up so much that it practically make a person immoble. I had a hell of a time working on that pump house w/ 2 pairs of gloves on..I looked like the Malto-Meal kid all bundled up! :D

Miserable conditions, for sure, man.

In my experience, eye glasses are frequently worse than no glasses at all for wind protection. F'r instance, if the wind is at my back, the edges of the frame do catch some of the wind, and run it right across my eyes.

I bought 2 pairs of clear lens goggles from Dennis Kirk last week to be used when running the snow blower. Worked pretty nice yesterday at 10 degrees. What sorta blows is that I tried like hell to find them locally. Clear lens goggles get snapped up pretty quickly. The sports shops all had colored lenses in stock, and every sales droid was griping a bit about not being able to get any clear lens goggles as they always sell out.

Reserved myself a room at the Swanky Hotel Attica, If anyone wants to split the cost of the room let me know! Oh and I don't spoon, Sorry Guys! :D

Josh, I believe that his main area of expertise is with the double knuckle shuffle...:D
