Important

for what it is worth.....

I have had a few accidents that were not my fault, I always used my insurance to get repairs done, I let them go after the other company, so far so good.

Your company has an interest in keeping you happy, they do not.

Just my .02

Isn't this what insurance it for? Shouldn't Aarons insurance be pounding down the door of the Farm Bureau people?

I agree /w/ Rev!

When my insurance claim started to drag out I talked with my All-State agent and he told me that I could claim through them and pay the deductible but they would not cover modifications. I used what Jeff told me when I approached the FedEx ins company, I created an itemized list of the upgrades (their cost, and time). I was quite surprised what I had into my Jeep at that point. I just kept in my mind that when everything was said and done I'd have my Jeep back or one exactly like it (maybe not the same color though).

And of course they are going to try to screw you, they are in business to make money after all.

Good luck! I also heard something that a company has to settle (insurance regs?) in so many days (30? maybe, look it up) so the longer you can stand to hold out the more willing they may be to deal. Someone feel free to refute me on that one.

In other news, I had an awesome weekend, went winter wheeling in powder ranging from 1' to 3'+ feet deep. Spent a total of 8 hours in the XJ on Saturday. The WJ seats helped a lot! I'll get pics up soon.

Where is there enough ice? I know a friend of mine says that there are small lakes around Ashland that are okay to walk on. But that's a lot farther north.

I think talking with your insurance company is a good idea. They want you to be happy and they will tell you everything you need to do to get the maximum payout.

In the future go with State Farm. They have always made everything easy for me.

I am going to. I have never had a problem with safe auto. I went with them when I got my Ford:puke: a few years ago and they have always been straight up with me. I am calling that guy again today since he didn't call me back last night and saying He has til the end of the day or I am calling my insurance company.

F that.
Call your insurance now. You'll just be dragging it out further.

Blizzard Update: In Minneapolis it is snowing....lightly.

Unless the wind picks up, or the snow really increases, it is more of a fizzard, then a blizzard.

Also....a tire update:

The Rugged Trail T/A suck in the snow.

If given a choice, I would not opt to save a few buck by buying these instead of the A/T's

We had about 6 inches of snow this morning and my BFG AT's did a good job on the ol' tow rig to get me to the office. It has been snowing and raining mix all day here and is supposed to be a hell of a mess by tomorrow w/ up to 12 inches of this crap and ice mixed in it...and I still have @ 100 acres of corn to cut!!! Choring cattle this evening ought to be real fun...

Rev, what's your schedule like?

I'm not looking forward to the drive through St. Paul in an hour or so. And the drive in to work will be unpleasant in the AM.

so fafr, less than 2 inches, by my guess.
we are expecting 4-8 overnight.
they say tomorrow it is supposed to be possible teens and winds of 50 mph!

Commute home took an extra 25 minutes, almost an hour and a half. Cleared 3-4" of fluff off the driveway. At least it's down around 20 degrees, it's not sticking to anything.

glad you made it safe Jeff....25 min isn't too bad.

Seems to be blowing around here in the cities.....plows are going by pretty regularly.....bet they keep waking me up tonight.

It can snow all it wants and blow as hard as it can for 24 hours....as long as it stops in time to get the route to Duluth clear by Thursday AM, and then from Duluth to Chicago on Friday......I have my doubts about Wisconsin getting the Madison area clear that fast if they really get hit. Friday could be a really LONG day.

Lots and lots of rain down here. Some streets are flooded. I'm glad to see that the dirt work I did this spring is doing it's job. :yelclap:

Passed two of the Three ASE tests I took last month...
Painting and Refinishing and Non-Structural Analysis
Congrats man! I got the test results from my 3rd ASE test today. Another pass!

It's going to be cold enough that the snow won't stick to anything. There shouldn't be snow left on the roads by Thursday morning.

Wave on your way by on Thursday morning when you head up 35W (I'll be about 2 miles east of 35W & 694.)

Snowing here in Menomonie... Maybe 1/2-1in on the ground... Does seem to be pretty windy, but north campus is on a hill next to a lake so its always windy here...
