Important

that's a lot of suck.

note to self, pull battery from jeep before trickle charging for storage.

Typically thermal runaway is a battery problem and not a charger problem, especially at the 2 or 3 amps that a battery tender provides.

Everyone should be looking for swelling battery cases from time to time. I doubt very much that what happened to JR's battery was an overnight sensation.

JR - How old is that battery?

Shtll buff out.

That's why I wont charge a batt over night in my shop. Hope everything goes easy with clean up and Insurance. Always another XJ but more importantly you and your family is safe.

Brandon @ 4in you might not have to cut your fenders for 33s. I'm setting at around 4, and I really don't think I would have had to cut, but my backspaceing is really shallow.

Brian sorry to hear about your dog. That really sucks. Dogs, and cats are the only animals I'll swerve to avoid. You never know who's pet it is.

JR That really sucks about your jeep. I seen last night when you posted it. I've always been afraid of those long term trickle chargers. I just either drive it every few weeks, or disconnect the battery to keep it from draining. I'm hoping there's more salvageable than appears once you give it a good look over.
