Got it fixed for this weekend. Just need to put up some trim and it should be good. Had a lot of wet insulation in there. Glad it's all out of there.

There will be some for Labor Day weekend. Probably have to make 2 batches for how many people we got coming.

I think the last time i went canoeing i ended up tipping it over more than i was floating. Probably didn't help that the cooler was floating as well.

We are planning on our kitchen remodel. I went to lowes with a moveable budget of about 5 grand.
An hour at the desk with a interior designer and we were at 7grand for just cabinets hahaha. Ok lady, guess I'll take on this project without you.

Couple hours later I went on menards website and "designed my own kitchen" and had 2 grand in cabinets

I'm not looking to cheap out but I know I can't afford some 25k remodel. About 6500 would be pushing the most I could afford

I'll second what Sean said. Find a local distributor. I Made the mistake of going with cabinets from one of the box stores once. Ended up paying twice what they were worth, waiting several weeks for them to be made, and they used a lot of particle board.

I found a distributor in Indy for the last two kitchens I remodeled. The cabinets there are very well built, plywood construction, heavy duty slides/hardware , and half the price!!! Well worth the hour drive for me!

they're built about as well as an RV by methheads in indiana.

plumbing sucks in the winter. one piece of fallen insulation and your pipes will freeze and burst. Fun times.
electrical is barely adequate.
stupid odd sized water heaters that are way too expensive for what they are.
We knocked out some framing and stuck a regular one in my buddy's when he lived there.
Saved like $300 and got a larger capacity.

And I dont feel sorry about it since our company owner told me to let him know as soon as an offer comes in. Not so he can counter...but so he can hire my replacement that he did a walkthrough with this morning before ive accepted anything. Makes you feel welcomed about as much as making you go to Canada without the proper work paperwork as a new hire when you have no idea...oh wait that happened too.

I don't blame him, he knows you are leaving if offer is good and wants to be prepared.

When I have people get within a couple points of being fired I hire a replacement and make them train them. Sometimes they make it, but most of the time I made the right call.....

I get that totally. Mostly just irritated that everyone in Melissa's area (she works in the front office) is suddenly poking there nose in everything when we havent told Melissa's family who lives here yet...and since some of them know Melissa's relatives that may lead to dumb things that i would rather not deal with.
