Getting more details from guy, sounds legit. He is a pontoon dealer n does not mess with ski boats, he took on trade as a salvage unit bc he towed it in n the people just bought a pontoon off him after that. He will transport halfway for 400. That's well worth it in my book.

im trying to figure out if the "do it" is in relation to seanR buying a cj or cheeseman buying a boat...

either way i approve...

cheeseman, do you have a boat currently? id like to go out exploring on rathbun a bit, but my dad's 16ft jon isn't the best for exploring lol

and by exploring i mean beach scouting...

I've always been told the best two days of owning a boat are the first and last day of ownership.

mac 'I love other people's boats' gyvr

damn im late, shoulda refreshed the page.

speaking of toys. had a guy tell me today if i never rode a dirt bike as a kid then i shouldn't get a motorcycle. what kind of shit dumb ass thought possess is that. if its got tits or tires...

Surprisingly we boght our boat and had it for 3 years. Put nothing into it except normal routine items and a prop and sold it for a grand more than we paid. Now im toying with the idea of getting rid of the camper for something bigger. Wanting a camper about 30-32ft long with more than 2 bunk beds and slide out. May be time to upgrade.

yeah Craig, I currently have a Crownline 202 bow rider. If my dates/times align when you are here, we can def go to Rathbun. Its a fun lake for this part of the world, nothing wild, just a good family lake.

I have had boats off and on over the past 20 years, I am cool with them, I enjoy them. I was raised on the lake every weekend growing up, so boats are like lawnmowers, you just have to work on them a few times in the summer :D

If a boat has good structure, the rest is simple. If it is some old clapped out POS and is soft anywhere, run.

ive been there fishing a lot, but in a jon boat you have to stick to certain spots, its like red rock and saylorville and can get rough in the middle on the right day. we are going to be there july 8th-15th....then in des moines for a few days

aluminum FTW.

I hope to finish up boat fuel system and fire the johnson up this weekend.

then it's just slapping some plywood and lights in it.

I will be back from Beaver Lake in Arkansas that week around the 7th. We can try n line something up for that weekend.

My buddy has a Crownline 225 as well, we usually go up at the same time with our families. Its only like an hour to be there n on the water.
