I picked up a JET brand versatile metal band saw off CL several years ago, it is awesome. It will function in the chopping position or you can stand it upright and put the table attachment on it and then it is a vertical band saw. I cant count how many times it has paid for itself. I, like Brad, picked up a Milwaukee chop saw over a HF one and it was only in that $160 price range too, plus warranty is handled in store so if it breaks they just swap it out. I have ran through a few blades on it already, but I have been chopping up 6000 running feet of 31' sections of 2 7/8" schedule 40 well pipe for my new corrals...it is insanely heavy and eats up the blades if you try and rush it. I am going to pick up a porta band saw to finish the corral project, using the torch is just too messy for some of it. I have seen a few at pawn shops for $100 or so, might just grab one of those.
 
Realized the horn doesn't work in the jeep this morning. semi driver must not have seen me and started getting into my lane, hit the horn but no sound had to hit the shoulder and a bit of grass at 75 mph.
 
I'll probably end up with a dewalt portaband if I buy one new. I keep seeing Milwaukees in the pawn shops on craigslist though so I might go that route too. I wanted a Makita but they are a little higher priced compared to the other brands and I feel like they will all do a good enough job for me. whatever I get will be one of the deep cuts though.
 
I've been trying to decide between Dewalt and Makita. Already have some of Makita Li-ion stuff, been really happy with it. All my Dewalt stuff is still Ni-cad, been waiting for them to come out with the adapter to use the slide style Li-ion batteries. Was supposed to be available in October, they keep pushing it back, now they're saying January...
 
Given the official word of being put ilon night shifts finally. Uhg! Never worked nights before so this will be interesting. Starts in about a month.

Today I was back on the ladder, climbed 100 ft to the top of one of our silos because someone said they thought it might be leaking. It wasn't...
 
Anyone here have issues studying? I swear I do my homework and participate in class, but just studying I can't do. I have had 5 days with no school to prepare for these 2 final test and I have done nothing. Studying just doesn't work for me.
 
Has anyone heard from JJ lately?...since I left the Facespace earlier this year I can not keep up w/ him and I lost his number when I switched phones.....miss that dude.

you can't sit down and physically do it, or you can't retain the information?

I have a problem with retaining info. if i didnt study RIGHT before an exam, I would do bad on it. even if i studied that morning, I would just get a brain block during an exam.
