I completed 3 out of 4 years of a bachelor's degree in computer technology before I realized that computer hardware repair was a dying career. Cheaper to replace than fix them nowadays.

Worked for ~4 years before going back to get an associates degree in the field I work in now.

In other news, I finally bought a legit tow rig the other day. 99 F350 7.3L CCLB. Only options it came with is cruise and A/C :D

Knowing first hand on the F250 front grill swap, you will need the grill, bumper, headlight assemblies, and the header panel...it wont work without that combination...trust me I tried. once I got mine switched over, I gave my 2002 billet grill to SeanR. I wonder if he ever got it installed???? It makes for a nice clean look. I have a set of the factory 2002 headlights I think, and I think I still have the factory header panel and a chrome front bumper too. I am always keeping my eyes open for a 2011-12 F250....when I find the right one I will own it. Once the C10 is on the road, we are going to trade 2 for 1 on a newer diesel.

Cheese "going back to the blue oval" Man

EDIT: I have the clear headlights, not the yellow chalky cross hatched headlights. I swapped to the 06 front end on my 02. Bigger grill which called for the new style bumper etc. If interested in new lights let me know and I can get a pic and a cheap "brother from another mother" discount for ya.

No worries, just thought I'd throw my interest out there if you passed em up...

What I'd really like to do is the Harley Davidson headlight conversion to completely black out my truck... I'm not a huge chrome guy.

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts and prayers. He was a young Marine, single and very new to the game. It was a very unfortunate and very odd accident. I can't talk about it much, but it's hard to swallow when you're following all the rules and something like that happens.

Found you a shirt Hobag!

Just got back home from being out in Denver. I have a whole new respect for when flights get cancelled late at night and people are left hanging until they can figure out a way home!

I haven't flown in 10 years and I think I just did enough in 13 hours to make up for it.

Flight was supposed to leave last night @ 8:45pm out of Denver to Chicago/midway on Wednesday night. It got delayed to 10pm because of some severe weather that came through Denver at about 3pm. No problem. Stuff gets pushed back. I get it. Gets to be 8pm local time there and the flight gets completely cancelled. What!? The plane that was supposed to come in to take us to Midway never showed up. Crap. So now it's 11pm and the airline is figuring out ways to get people to where they need to be. There was a connecting flight to Kansas City departing at the exact time I got to the ticket counter. The lady says "hurry and you can still catch it". So I book it down the to gate. Nope. Watched the plane back away from the dock. So I go back to her. Now I can get a flight to Albuquerque that's leaving in 5 minutes. Don't know what flight I'm taking from there but she says there is one in the AM. Okay, so I run through the terminal, hop on the little subway cars, from C to A, run to the Albuquerque gate and I'm in time. So I land in New Mexico at about 1AM. The Terminal is a ghost town. Only a handful of cleaning crew are there. So I sleep some and relax til the ticket counters open @ 5:30AM. Find out there is no flight to Chicago/midway out of Albuquerque. So now I'm on a 6:10AM flight to Las Vegas. Hop over to Vegas to catch a 7:40AM flight (that I thought I missed cause of the time change) to Chicago/Midway finally. Plane lands @ 1pm this afternoon. I'm exhausted. Just needed to share my story somewhere.

3 flights in 13 hours, I hope I never have to do that again!

Oh and on top of that I had to suffer through the Blackhawks losing to LA! What an aweful Night!

+1 on calling it a night and getting a hotel as 90% of the time you are not going to make it to your final destination anyhow.

I travel a lot for work, this is not uncommon. Last time I went to NY it took ~14 hours to get home via flights. It takes 13 hours to drive it.

I rarely get upset about it as they have no control over weather or most other factors, being very nice and polite gets you further with customer service reps.

Cheeze, you never gave me that grill.
We were going to make the hand off at the casino in Burlington when I brought you that black XJ but you had forgotten it.
I bet it is still in your shop under a pile of empty PBR cans and cheese bags.

I completely agree about the being civil over screaming and yelling and causing a scene. If you're understanding that the folks at the ticket counter don't have direct control over the fact that things get shifted around and the flight is no longer available, they will be willing to work with you and get you to where you need to be with alot less headaches. I was gonna ask for a hotel for the night but they made it clear from the beginning of the line that there were no hotel vacancies near the airport. I actually did think of driving the 1000 miles back home but the rental companies nearby did not have any 1 way rentals available til noon today, which means I would still be driving right now.

So me being patient and talking civil to the lady actually got me home faster than I was thinking it would've. Maybe it was because everyone before me was madder than h3!!.

I know it's not uncommon, I had just never experienced a flight issue like that before. Which is why I can now ACTUALLY relate to the frustrations people are having when something like this occurs.

Another good thing was I had no checked luggage. One carry-on bag. No needing to worry about where my luggage was and if I would see it again. Things can always be worse. Gotta look at the upsides.
