Important

Loving our new Iphone 5s. Once we finally figured out itunes again, we got all of our stuff moved over.

Verizon is giving us $$ for our old phones, mine was a 4s 32gig and hers was a 4. At breakfast with my dad this am, he tells me how his 4 is messed up after the last update. It was only a $50 difference on the trade in value on the 4 vs 4s, so I traded in his 4 and gave him my 4s.

Happy father's day

Re: Re: Important

Was it that one tiny "UCA" bolt?

Unfortunately, yes...

I can give a more detailed report later but I'm trying to fix my xj in a parking lot right now and I don't have many tools with me. Here are some pics of the damage...it was my first at fault accident ever so I am pretty bummed out. Not sure how it will hit our insurance but I feel really bad for the owner of the other car. It was Damn near new

Sketchy. I've never seen that happen before but I've always wondered about that little bolt. I have bigger bolts in my uppers. 1/2 or 9/16... I can't remember which now.

Your post to the LOPT went through, but I don't think there's anyone down there. Not sure.

What are you short on? Which tools? I saw you need shocks, guessing some other stuff too though. I'm already signed up for pulling another NAXJA member's ass out of the fire tonight but if we get that done in a reasonable amount of time (I think we should) I can head down your way next.

I've always wondered about liability of manufacturers if a part fails...

I assume they could claim it was designed for off-road use only. I'm fully aware that everything I drive a lifted vehicle on the highway I am taking a risk...I'm not going to start a griping war with iro, in this case it's impossible to say what happened...I've had good luck with other parts of there's but these long arms will be coming off. I was only going about 25 when it happened...we were in stop and go traffic and had just started rolling again. The car in front of the lady I hit stopped quick so she did too, I slammed on my brakes, heard a loud clunk, then had no steering and wasn't slowing down. I hit her going fairly slow. I was found at fault for following too closely, which was the only thing the cop could find fault for. He 100% agreed with the mechanical failure, but said he still needed to write a ticket. The lady was nice enough, though she may have persuaded him to write the ticket so there would be no question of fault. The tow was $170, the ticket is $132 and the days pay that I lost is around $400...so all in total a ten mm bolt cost me $702...which really sucks, but it could have cost me my life had it come apart 10 minutes earlier at 60mph. I did have to slam on my brakes just prior to that at full highway speed.

I have been planning to switch to a rock krawler or Clayton kit because of the issues I've been having with the height of my lift.

Currently I'm sitting in a parking lot in the rain trying like hell to get my axle to roll backwards into the mount so I can limp it back to the shop I had out here. I have no ratchet straps or come alongs and I've been at it for 2 hours...anyone have any bright ideas?

Use your jack wherever you need to to force the rotation you need.

I keep trying the jack but it's not rotating...it seems like it's binding somewhere but I can't tell. Plus I have to use a pry bar to pull the uca bracket over while jacking. The unfortunate thing is that I need another person to help guide the mount in place while I try to spin it with a jack...

This is how far off it is...I have the frame resting on blocks and the axle under a jack...not sure if the track bar is bent or what...the axle looks centered...I'm going to disco the trackback to see if I can get it lined up bettet
