ive had a flashing cel in my subie, xj and wj...all of them happened in massive rainstorms with giant puddles everywhere and went away instantly.

Yep from what I found they call the 83" the wide ones.

My car trailer has braces on the inside of the fenders to drive over them when you get too big.

most likely...for 4k, i won't complain too much if the frame is okay and the rockers aren't gone. finding body parts for that style is pretty easy. i just need it to pass inspection and to be reliable. the 6.0 is a pretty stout motor. hell a buddy of mine ran his out of oil a few days ago, refilled it and then took it on a 10 hour road trip lol

the goal is to spend about $5k on a truck and trailer in the next 6 months. i need it mostly for work around the house, but being able to trailer vehicles around would be a BIG plus...there are a lot of plow trucks being sold since its the end of the season right now so part of me has thought about picking up a plow as well...could be a little cash on the side when i'm home during the winter

I think flashing is usually a misfire code. Maybe distributor got wet or something.

X2. Those spark plug dust cover things hold a lot of crap in them so maybe some water got in there.

The one I looked at before I bought the one i got looked like it didn't have much rust...but it turned out it was because the rockers were COMPLETELY gone!

mac 'hopefully something left' gyvr

FWIW I only paid $600 for our 5.9 needing a trans...

mac 'didn't have a $150 trans laying around either' gyvr

Not too bad. A little tlc and that would make one sweet DD/street machine. I happen to have a stock good tranny at my buddies house. Looks like little to no rust too

I will look at it if someone is genuinely interested. My guess is it needs something besides a tranny. I bet it will sit long enough that a G would buy it.
