Truck went into limp mode on my wife today. She was not happy that I had not changed the maf sensor that I have had for a week.....changed sensor and truck and wife are happy now

Curious if you tried any CRC MAF sensor cleaner? Or any other brands? Been curious if the stuff works.

We use it all the time at work. Lots of times if they come in with lean codes on both banks and have no visible of audible vaccum leaks then the MAF is usually dirty. We have had cars come in with so much film on the MAF sensor that they had to be very carefuly scraped off with a pocket screw driver.
Over oiled K&N filters are death to MAF Sensors.

Nope, ordered the sensor the first time it threw a code from rock auto. I read about the cleaner but didn't know if it would work for sure.

Got a compliment on my cage today from one of the design guys. He said, "That's cool, never seen anything like that!"

In my experience it works. My Duramax was rolling the coal on a trip once. I got home, sprayed it with the CRC stuff and all better. I guess the computer thought more air was coming in than there actually was, and overfueled to compensate? It seemed weird to have a MAF on a diesel anyway.

You have to be careful with those GM electronics though, if the MAF goes then it might call OnStar and theftlock the radio and burn out a DRL.

They come from the factory with a burnt out DRL....:D

we use the MAF cleaner here at work also. it works.

Death to everything.... K&N is way overrated as a filter IMO.

you're thinking about it wrong, half the way K&Ns filter is by sticking the now-oily dirt to the inside of the intake and plenum. :gag:

Whelp I'm getting a refund from JCW. They are unable to sell ARBRD81 at that price.

i wonder why you guys are all getting notices...i ordered before a lot of guys who are getting notices. makes me wonder if they are working backwards through the list.

some guys are still claiming that orders they made yesterday through APW have received tracking...which i don't understand. i'm hoping i get notice either way today. if the deal isn't going to hold up, then i would like my money back sooner rather than later

I didn't get a notice. I looked up my order status on JCW and it said unable to fill item(s). So I called. She checked other warehouses and nothing. Asked it I would wait 3-4 weeks for them to restock and I said yes. Then she told me that there is a pricing error and they actually can't sell it for that price. Since I payed with Paypal they already had my money so they are refunding it today.
