At least he takes his time to do the job right... hope they don't make you wait all day just to reschedule though.

Aaron, sounds like crummy grounds or a loose connection, but I am terribad with trailer wiring.

Not quite the way it actually is...

The city or county has a license for you to use those 800mhz frequencies. Same for Byron. Why don't you need a personal license to use them?? You are operating under that license. As far as you only needing an hour class to operate the radio. That's between the license holder and you. You are operating under the terms of their license. Go off the rails one day and the license holder is on the hook for those actions.

Btw... looks like the license is through the county. 1500 mobile units on the license and 28 fixed stations. That's a crap load of units.

yep... said it better than I could have. I started writing a giant post about the technicalities of licensing and realized I suck at making that kind of thing interesting.

Is that the Allen County license?

Here's how I'd go about it. You can verify that everything is square on your Jeep with a voltmeter. Set to 20 volts DC range, put the black lead on the single vehicle-side pin (ground), turn on parking lamps and hazards and you should have a solid +12V on one of the "holes" and intermittent (blinking) +12V on the other two.

For the trailer side, if you have wire or long enough leads you can use the ohms setting on the meter to check resistance, but instead what I would do is grab a car battery and hook the negative up to the "hole" on the connector (white wire, ground), and touch a wire to each of the three pins. Have someone make sure that the lights are working. My best guess is that it is a problem with the light itself, but without data all you have is an opinion :D

This would be the second bad light I got then. I got one to replace the other yesterday!

I am making the jeep sales lady work her ass off, it's kinda nice not really needing a new car . Ball is 100% in my court.

F me...

Neighborhood code is at my house again...complaint about trailers

those things are ugly...

no wonder they give them away...

mac 'you can never say anything bad about any of us again' gyvr

It is damn ugly. But I don't have to drive it. The wife wanted something with the room of a minivan without it being a minivan or having the sliding doors. I got it to almost 27mpg last night.

This means NOBODY can give me shit about my bimmer without first giving William a hard time! :D

Side note.....the original owner of the bimmer lived in Harlan, KY.....so my car is a hillbilly!

I rather she drove a minivan over an aztek...
