Important

So I'm seasoning the smoker right now and I'm thinking of making some jerky for the crawl. I've never done jerky before so I found a couple recipes on pirate. My only question is since I'm going to be drying the beef out at like 140*. Do I need to worry about salmonella and stuff like that? I'd rather not soil Flex's passenger seat on the way to Harlan...

This is awesome!! I saw this show a while back and have yet to try it, but there's no better reason to buy a few furnace filters and a box fan!

To add to what Ron said, not only are we dealing with high inflation right now, they have been monkeying with the CPI and other metrics to somewhat conceal this because it would make people angry.

If you haven't realized this, do some research.

I always have to chuckle when they talk about the CPI ex-food and energy. Nothing like using a benchmark missing two of the largest components regular folks would be paying attention to.

Not doing the little Jeep this weekend. Doing wheel bearings, u joints, and ball joints in the 2 fiddy. I'm moving my S.I.L. to Mississippi over the fourth weekend.

Anyone see a problem using 2 bushings at the axle for a slip and twist traction bar? I'd like to be able to adjust for pinion angle as opposed to a hard mount

Should be fine, but they will wear. I think my first one was like this and still lives under pats rig, but was not a slip and twist type.

And doing it this way you will not be able to mount above the cl of the axle.

Should I just hard mount it then?

Also any problems with putting on the drivers side. I don't want to redo my exhaust again

Mount it directly above the drive shaft and you should have to mess with the exhaust. Slip and twist (as well as any other) works the best when in the middle of the axle, it doesn't fighte the articulation as much. lots of good info here.
