Important

I probably shouldn't be laughing but that was funny.
my ps pulley popped off fairly easily...then i broke the ps reservoir off that i was supposed to re-use. then i had to ride 2 miles on melissas bike to the parts store through a scary ghetto in chicago at 1am to go to the all night parts store to get the one i should have bought in the first place...we only had one vehicle at that time and melissa had to go to work in the morning. i've never peddled my fat ass on a bike so fast in my life...

it was just one of my many interesting stories about working on my jeep in the apartment parking lot when we were living in chicago...not as funny as the drunk homeless man who passed out next to me while mumbling a conversation and eating chicken he found in the garbage can...but close

No it's fine...pretty much all my Chicago jeep related stories are pretty hilarious looking back...nothing like hearing gunfire at 2am when you are breaking ujoints free with a press and also making noises that sound like gunshots...or getting pulled over by 5 police cars at the same time for blowing a bright green goose call

Wow, I have seen some shady work before, but this leaves me speechless.

Cam and I did (read: Cam did most of the work) the intake on their 20?? Oldsmobile van. Those vehicles were never designed to be worked on.

When working, the lift gate on my trailer folds out and makes a loud banging noise, there's a store in Detroit that the echo is spot on for gun shot. I keep waiting for the cops, but I don't think they go to that neighborhood.

I thought guns were illegal in chitown, there for theres no way those were gun shots youo were hearing.

Exactly what I was thinking. Must have been another guy doing the same thing as Craig.

I was never so happy when my moms was totaled. I wished she didn't hurt her foot, but at least the others insurance gave her a nice check. The Montana, Transport, Oldsmobile counter part is on my list of never ever ever ever buy (along with a Chrysler minivan).

We had an 04 Chevy Venture really never did anything to it other than tune ups. The head gasket had already been done when we bought it though.

alternator is easy to get unbolted...

nearly impossible to get out from between the motor and the cowl

While my XJ slowly approaches 200k (192,xxx now), my dads 2001 Dodge Ram just hit 98k today.

Other then the pesky P601 code (PCM needs replaced) but it runs great still so it isn't a high priority. No rust either.

I think I did the oil change around a month ago with 97,500 on it. I probably have put half if not more of those 500 miles on it since I have used it to haul mowers, wood, and dirt since then. Two weeks ago I filled up the gas tank and it is just now getting to the mark above half (140 miles).

So I am planning to go red and get new tires in the next month. I am gonna try the treadwright guard dogs out. I can keep my 15" wheels and get a 31" tire or go to 16"s and step up to a 285/75r16. Its mainly a DD but I drive less then 10 miles to work and think it might not be too bad with a 5 speed. I am around 3.4-4" of lift right now and am planning an 8.8 swap so regearing isn't out of the question. What would you guys suggest?
