I thought all 4.0s got the "i run bad after being shut off hot and restarted too soon" syndrome?

My 95 did it. My 96 did it.

My 95 used to do it. When I first got it, it had a misfire under slight load at highway speeds only when warm. I swapped fuel injectors as per some advice. The new injectors were Ford units. Made the misfire worse, especially upon restart. Then I had the head gasket problem after my first Redbird run. After I got all that figured out, the misfire was still there along with the restart issue. Replaced the Ford injectors with factory HO units and the restart issues were gone, but the highway miss was still there. That was the CKP sensor. No more misfires.

YMMV.

Bought over $100 in BBQ supplies today... Giving my 3rd-6th hour classes a grill-day cause

A)No one is 'here' anymore, they've all checked out...

B) Today is essentially the last day seniors are here...

I'll be using the 55 gallon drum grill I made...

So the race car shop here in town I can get brand new rims for about 50 bucks ea. They are basically the ar-767 knock offs, I forget the name of the company that makes them.

I can get the 15x8 - 5 on 4.5...

but i have to choose between 3 and 4 inch offset, nothing in between...

which one do I want for an LJ?

I threw in some autopal housings and even with the bulbs they came with I am really happy. I should have my chevy headlight harness by next weekend and I can put in the higher wattage bulbs. Makes driving home after second shift work a whole lot nicer.

That would be a hard one to decide. Would 4"clear everything on your lj? that would keep them ticked in more

I'd think 3" would be a little excessive. AFAIK the LJ, TJ, XJ, ZJ wheels all have the same backspacing minus the Moabs which I believe are 4.5" I'd go with 4 myself. How much lift does it have Mac?

The crawl is like MWC's summerfest with some SEC guys. AND it's in the mountains. Way better wheeling than badlands IMO

This! Badlands is fun but not near as badass as Harlan! Plus its hot outside and I have a cabin to sleep in! :D

the 2000 and up jeeps have a cast iron manifolds instead of tubular steel...holds heat under the manifold more effieciently thus making them more prone to heatsoak on startup.. sams is very bad about it, as of right now im just opening the hood when we stop to watch but ill probably be installing some sort of timer for the efan or just adding a manual control switch keeping air flowing through and down

Dan ditching the extra 02 sensors really isnt worth the trouble...replacethem with oe equipment sensors and it will run great...i just did both upstream sensors in my sisters 01 for 28$ a sensor from rockauto....and those are OE NTK sensors too not bosch junk

you want 4....three will look goofy

I was thinking 4 because i have run 3.75 pretty easy in the past...on XJs

its got a 2.5 inch rough country lift with a spacer up front.

most of my XJ knowledge stops at the bastard year of 96...

Well, being that I'm using the head/motor from a 98 I bought a new header because I didn't like how restricted the 01 manifold is. Now I'm wondering if I should rethink that thinking. Has anyone ran a cast manifold on an early head? I can still easily run two sensors in the exhaust like the 98.

Okay, WHAT IF I were to change my cps and engine harness from the 98?

am I looking at a huge job? would the internal jeep still communicate?

A man was in a bar all day and he had to use the bathroom.
He was in there for a while, yelling, so the barmaid reluctantly went to the bathroom to check on him.
"Sir, what are you yelling about? You're scaring the customers."
"Every time I try to flush the toilet something keeps biting my balls!"
"Sir, please get off the mop bucket."
