So far my transmission rebuild list includes a 4T60-E from a Lumina (lost overdrive), a 4T80-E from a Seville (lost overdrive), and a 4L60-E from a Trans Am (lost 1st and 2nd). Every time it happens I say "screw automatics, I'm only going to buy manuals from now on," but here I am with 5 automatic vehicles in the driveway. Some day I'll learn.
If only all other automatics were as stout as an AW4...

This is why I only own jeeps. I can get damn near any individual part for 100 or less on the classifieds or jy, 200 if I am in a royal tear and have the yard pull it for me. Gas may cost more but repairs are damn cheap.

I was going to kind of allude to that. Google pointed out several "issues" in about the first 5 minutes.
but I didn't want to be a buzzkill.
A friends Focus did the same thing. We played the solenoid game. 2 weeks later we were swapping the trans in my garage. A month later it was done.
as soon as it left the driveway I swore no more FWD auto trans swaps ever in my garage.
Way tougher than the Aspire. I had it's 5 spd swapped in a weekend, no problems.

Wait, you are supposed to wear deodorant at interviews. Might explain the four job interviews I had in Indy that I never got the job. I figure if people can stand my stinch around here at my current job, it wouldn't matter elsewhere. Maybe that explains why my brother gave me body cleaning products for Christmas the last two years.
