Anybody in here with an exact know amount of lift? can you measure from axle center to body line and tell me your dimensions? Trying to figure out were my heep's at. Thinking its a 7.5" but not sure.

thanks

itd be easier to measure from the axle tube to the body of the uni rail.

my rear was 10.75", front was 11". i had a little noticeable rake before i started adding all the steal. RE 4.5" kit.

and if you like your plasma cutter you should go cut a hitch off something so that dude can finally have a hitch......

Hobag has a pink iPod, i saw it...but he is manly
From the karma thread...
Pulled the hidden hitch off of my 98 a few days ago. Its rusty, but solid, only thing is the receiver is rust welded into the tube. It is an 1 1/2" ball mount though, I beleive no drop. Located 54235 WI

take it away so i dont have to
I would take it and swap it out on my 97, but I can't have a hidden hitch for the C3R I'll be doing to it.

i want to become a member, but dont have PP, is there anyway i could do a MO? or MO someone to PP for me? (tentative at this point)

gotta get 'mo drunker...

to the bat cave!

Congrats on the GPA! Got a checkbook? If I PM you my mailing address you can send me a personal check and I'll PP it and let them know it's for you. Unless someone tells me that NAXJA won't allow such a thing, but I don't see it being a problem.

I'm guessing that was a contributing factor to the low oil pressure and possibly the scoring, if it wasn't getting properly oiled? Where do you go from here as far as dealing with your rebuilder?

That sucks... hope it doesn't cost you too much to get out of this one. Don't feel too bad about it though, even the pros forget stuff occasionally. It just sucks when it's your stuff, but you get hurried and without an extremely detailed checklist it's too easy to miss stuff.

When I swapped the motor in my Tahoe I sent the core off with the reluctor ring for the crank sensor, took me a few days to figure out why it wouldn't start.

I assume this means you're at least on your way to getting it all resolved and behind you though?

long story short...the motor was running with air in the oil...

builder doesn't think that there was any long term damage...

he put the seal in...

charged us 900...

dad admits he installed the oil pickup and isn't sure that the o-ring was there...

should be back up here Saturday afternoon...lucky to being having a party with friends that live down that way that can drive it up here for us...

Just mail a check to them. we didn't have paypal for years and paid that way. It takes longer, but it works.

IIRC There is a sticky in the Tech Section on this.

Edit: You know, I went to link it here, but I can't find it. It listed the stock measurement from a body line point to the ground.
Bummer, it was good reference material. Now all we have are links to other sites ;)

Mac, kinda curious why that would cause misfires. Maybe rings just haven't seated yet? Either way that sucks, but kudos for admitting it.

When can we make fun of you for this? :eyes:

At least it came with a transfer case, right? :roflmao:

Low oil psi kept the tiny lil lifters collapsed. The rockers fell off causing valves to stay closed. Causing missfires. The video he posted on it runing sounded like it was poping back throught he intake. So im guessing the exhaust rockers were off. The combustion pressure poped backin into the intake when the intake valve opened.

What has me confused is the dealer said there was scores in the cylinder. Just dont know how that would have happened except for rebuilders error.
It happens Mac. Live and learn.

Got macs rearend stuffed in my trunk. Things that big shouldn't be put in my trunk.

oh yeah. forgot it has hydraulic lifters... :dunce:

I'm also curious about the cylinder scoring.
