I've pulled the camper through McDs a bunch of times. Shoehorned the car trailer through Hardee's a couple weeks ago.

Got the front of my jeep nearly buttoned up but we made the mistake of eating before we started and got lazy, then came the high life but all in all for the few hours we did it, we only worked about an hour and a half. The longest part was compressing the coils!

He weighs 100 pounds and he's still to lazy to get out of the truck and walk in! :D

I wouldn't say lazy, I'd rather walk inside if the drive through line is stupid long, but it's easier to take the whole rig through than park and get parked in.

Our Taco Bell's here are hairpins...you couldn't get any trailer through them...I promise...

I tethered my droid to my laptop...as a test cause I want to try to have internet while on the road to KOH and while at KOH if there is a signal...it worked. Am I going to be charged extra for doing this? I have unlimited everything but phone minutes with verizon.

I haven't been.... and I've had my Droid tethered (and rooted) since I got it 6 months ago. The trick will be to not rise on Verizon's abuse radar. I suspect that as long as you're not downloading media, I doubt you'll have a problem.

I was considering rooting the phone...but I'm not as techno as you... :)

I was also thinking about making it a mobile hotspot...but my laptop will be the only device using it...so I might as well just tether...i hooked it up and it worked so...

I'm only going to mainly use it to keep up with NAXJA and a few other sites while driving and on the lakebed.

Even if I had to pay extra for one month that's fine cause this will be the main time that I would ever use it.

Actually, considering where you're going..... not turning into a mobile hotspot may be a good idea. If you have to hook up a USB tether, nobody else is gonna leech your connection.

Front is done looks like I got about 3.5 out of it. Already rides much better but we broke a damn weld nut so we're getting ready to crack it open and put a wrench on it. I gotta say OME packs are awesome. We put the AAL's in in about 15 minutes combined!

Sounds like progress. What size tire you shooting for, 31"?

Its on 31's already. Just getting rid of the spacers/bastard pack for OME springs.

guestion: i made this bumper a few years ago. it is 3in pipe thats about 1/8th in thick. it has a hitch welded in it. it is welded to the factory brackets with 1/4in plate on each side welded to the pipe and is bolted to the unibody.

it passed tech last year but i was just wondering if it`ll pass this year. ive pulled alot of fullsize rigs with it.

do i need to make unibody tie in brackets for it?

thanks.

I hate it when you run out of welding gas then have to switch to flux core, because there is no where open to get gas. Then it gets even better when you run out of flux core.......

I ran out of gas last week and went and picked up a new larger cylinder of gas..made it about 8" of weld and ran out of wire and it was too late for anyone to be open. I guess I could have switched to flux cored, but I just quit for the night.

Jeff I would assume you could passwork protect the hot spot wi-fi...but so far the tether works...

discosteve, I'd need pics of the attachment of the bumper to the frame before i could start to answer your question.
