We always go to my aunt and uncle's in Huntley, IL. My parents, cousins and my aunt's family usually means a big group. Two tables and some get the snack tables.

thankfully i wont be going to a bunch of different places this year, me and the wife are gonna get the smallest bird we can find and just have us and the 2 boys in the house. my parents will be out of town and the wife's family said there not doing any thing. this is the first year in the 5 that i have been married and the 10 that we have been together that we will be spending thanksgiving with just us no in-laws i couldn't be happier

With my Mom moving to Arkansas and Dad back in TX.. We aren't doing a damn thing. I plan on sitting around in stretchy pants all day. And the wife got a 21lb. bird. I asked her if that was a challenge....

just got in from putting up the Christmas lights on the house....it was 70 freakin degrees here today so I fugured it was now or never and did most of it in short sleeves. Took about an hour away from the decoration crap and Camille, Case and I just rode our 4-wheelers around the farm and took it all in..pushed a really nice buck out of a draw and saw a mess of does. It is times like that I am glad I live where I do and can just get away from everything with something as simple as a family ATV trip across the "backyard". (coming from the guy that put this place up for sale a few weeks back!

I shot 7 deer yesterday, with my camera. Working in a nice area of Mokena with wooded lots near forest preserves. They are so numerous there, my customers didn't even bother to look...

I'll be enjoying my Thanksgiving in Green Bay. Leaving Wed night after work. As far as deer go...This is disappointing. Dad and I were in the woods all morning and didn't see anything. We were loading up our guns and extra layers in the truck when a kid stopped by and asked if either one of us shot a doe. We told him we hadn't and he said there was one down the road a little ways just off our property in the field dead. His gf said she saw it's head move. We decided to check it out. She was indeed still alive but had been ass-shot. Rear quarters were toast and she couldn't move. I put a round through her head to put her out of her misery. Checked with the DNR and they told us we could tag her if we had the correct tags or we could leave her lay for the coyotes. She couldn't have weighed more than 90#. Not much meat left after her wound. So we left her lay. Really bad part was that other than our woods, there wasn't a patch around for over 1000yds. Except for the game preserve across the road. There was a large bunch of hair in the field about 5 yards away where she was hit. With all the evidence, she was more than likely shot from across the road and left there. It's idiots like that (shootings small deer illegally) that really piss me off. And everybody complains as to why tags go up all the time...
