I'm ready for a bay area meet & greet...

Hooters in Dublin I'd imagine, as that's typically where it has been in the past from my experiences.

Lets see if I can find another girl to bring. I don't think anyone on this board has seen me with the same girl more than once...

August 5th maybe? Bryan is the only one that suggested a day, that work for everyone, or should we push it back a bit later?

Lets do that then First Wednesday at Hooters in Dublin.
First one is Aug. 5th show up or we will talk bad about you and your XJ!!

I would like to make this one but Hooters just doesn't do it for me. Any other suggestions?

Please don't high-jack this thread to try to move the date or the place, it always ends up with way too many people wanting different places and just gets ugly.

Anyone is free to set up another bay area meet and greet at another place on another day if you wish, but please lets leave the first Wednesday of the month to our same old spot at Hooters in Dublin.

I apparently offended you somehow so let me explain... I am a pastor and have been married 26 years and really don't care for what Hooters stands for, but would really enjoy meeting you guys and since I live 15 mins from Dublin setting something else up would be ridiculous. I am a fun loving guy and I do not at all like appearing to be a prude so I was not going to say all that, but there it is. I understand if you want to keep that spot... I'll just stick to trail runs or other M&G's... I was just probing for a more family friendly spot.

OK, wow... 1st time I have been treated that way on NAXJA. I apparently offended you somehow so let me explain... You can maintain your values, he just asked you to start a different thread if you want a m&g at a different spot. Besides Hooters has great wings!

No not offended, to me it is just about posting etiquette.
An good example is when someone starts a thread about a run to Hollister on a specific Weekend, a few people post they want to go too. But then one person comes in and wants to change to Frank Rains Park or wants to change the weekend. Then others start wanting to change too, then others want to put it to a vote or change it to another place or time and then it gets ugly. I just don't think that is very nice thing to do to someones thread and not very kind to the person that started it. Tenny started this thread with the place in the very first post, others have said they will go, to try to take over this thread and try to get everyone to change the location is just not a very nice thing to do. It can really open a big can of worms.

Maybe you can come out and just hang in the parking lot, check out the rigs and talk to people and not go in to Hooters? We have a lot of people in this chapter, you could also set up your own meet and greet. Or maybe set up a poll for the place for the meet and greet for the first Wednesday in September?

Hope that I made some sense, I am not steping on your values or your ideas. I too am not a big fan of Hooters, I don't like the food, but I was just trying to stop a thread from getting high jacked.

Back on topic I should be there 6:30 - 7:00

I like the idea of a moving place, although every club that I have attended any meetings with were against it, because it would be a problem with members finding the location if they missed a previous meeting...

With that said being this club has such a strong forum (where everything is discussed), it makes it much easier to collaborate location changes. We could obviously try it and see how it works out!

Ok I'll try to be there around 18:30, but will most likely end up there closer to 19:00.

I tell ya, sometimes it really sucks workin the grave-shift where I start work at 8:00pm (2000 for the military types). I never get to attend any of these.:bawl: One of these days I'll get off this shift and will be able to do things again.

Well at least if we do this monthly, then there will be many opportunities for you!
