Well looks as thought the deal is finally going to happen.
tomarrow at 2pm im meeting the owner of a 2000 black limited.
242 auto tow pack heated leather cd changer stock and stock. limited wheels were ditched in favor of some standard 15" tj wheels( sucks i somewhat liked the limited wheels) no lift no nothing aftermarket besides the front rotors being the e-coated or whatever so they dont rust..
Bad part is its down town
going to take me 1 1/2 hours to get there:helpme:
good thing 55 takes me all the way there, bad thing 55 takes me all the way there.
It needs a good detailing when i get it, i know a guy that details cars on the side in plainfield so im going to drop it by him next week cause this thing is filthy. owner just drove the thing dont think he ever cleaned it...

1st up SYE
then
c4x4 brackets for some d -rings
then
3.5 lift and rubicons
going to be my DD

still cant figure out why someone would order a limited which seems to be all optioned out exept the moonroof etc and still have a cassette player.. it has an aftermwrket cd installed now that will be going up for sale. i want to get an aftermarket cd installed.
i already have the aftermarket unit. Alpine mp3 player etc..
i looked at a sport that even had the cd/cassette combo.

of course on the testdrive that was 8 blocks long in the city i almost got hit. im thinkin this guy is proabbly freaking out , after i am driving and we almost get into an accident :laugh2:

when i meant downtown i meant downtown chicago 1500 clybourn.
i just looked at that one in plainfield.. but it sold i didnt want it anyways 2 many miles. this one has 86000 on it..
besides it shouldnt take me an 1 1/2 to get to plainfield Rev

Feel real sorry for you John.
that area is a mad house. with the costruction on north ave and that.
i was at the corner at north ave and clyborn at bank of america.
the guy works at crunch fitness there as a personal trainer.
while i was there i noticed prob 6-8 range rovers and a handful of cherokees. seems to be the hoppin place for the ones with money in that are huh. Anyways made it home with out any issues.

doesnt bother me much. drives the wife crazy so she tailgated me down the
"chicago 500", down 57, seems like everyone is in a hurry to get to blue island
i was running 62 with the cruise on and i WAS the slowest on the road..
and it is a 55.

and thats why there are so many crashes on 57 from 147th to 95th..
70+mph cars with bad shocks temp tires and idiot drivers going throught those turns
the last time i was on 94 coming out of chicago aroun 75th or so..
there was a guy driving in the slow lane in a mini van with the tire on the rear drivers side blown out and it had sperated and was hitting the fenders.
he was driving like 40 mph. didnt give a **** about the van cars passing him or getting on the shoulder.. me and my buddy were amazed..
another time i saw this old caddy heading into the sitty and the pass front tire must have had no shocks he hit a bump and the tire(swear to god) came off the ground and started bouncin up and down in the wheel well like a basket ball. off the ground half the time.. i let him pass me( going 60-65)
so im not thread crapping..
Im going to get plates for the XJ today with any luck
checked out the full size spare.. they didnt switch it for the rest of those standard sport rims so i have one like new spare i will be selling in the future..(16" limited rim) looking for a donut and moabsD)..
