I would check with all the

sponsors, call them and ask if they have a discount for members, you might be surprised on what they will do for you with a red name. I always call Dave up at Northridge4x4.com, he knows so much and I have spent so much time on the phone with him . . . and LOTS of my money have went to his shop. (if you buy from outside CA you save sales tax, just watch out for the shipping costs)
For me I go with the higher priced gears, get quality because it is not a simple swap if they blow up on you. Maybe Bryan C. will see this and post up, listen to him, working for years at the dealership, he see's and knows what brands are best for gears. I have always just asked him and went with what ever he says, it might cost you a little more now but . . .
For a locker you have so much to pick from, as posted the Aussie will make some clicking sounds when on the road, I have had three in the front of some of my jeeps, great locker because it is simple to install, is cheep and works great.
Because you are doing gears you can get a full carrier locker, and then it depends on what you want to do with it. If you like to go to up to the snow, you might want to go selectable locker like ARB, Eaton or OX. A locked front axle (Aussie, Detroit) in the snow can be very tricky to drive, not a big deal if you are a good driver and understand how the locker works, but it can get ugly and don't plan to let the Girlfriend/Wife/Kid/Friend drive it if they don't know how to drive with a front locker in the slick stuff.
On the flip side ARB's need an Air supply, OX's have cable issues, eaton silonoids gets shorts . . . there is more to think about with a Selectable locker, if you have a simple locker, it will just work, nothing extra to think about or deal with when it has an issue on the trail.
There is no right answer here and you will get lots of different opinions, just please don't spool or weld a dana 30 . . .
