I have used lots of brands of ignition systems on my Mustangs I own and have modded lots of other cars and trucks. After working in the car industry for years and years I would look else where to solve your problem. Obviously if you have a water issue that causes it to not start then I'd start with that fix, as for the heat soak problem have you tried checking your fuel pressure over 30 minute time period? Test it with the engine cold that way you keep the temp consistent then key it on and off to cycle the fuel pump and just let the fuel pressure gauge sit for 30 min. It shouldn't drop at all or very little, if it does that could be your heat soak problem. In all honesty that would be unacceptable from the factory so if it worked then and doesn't work now then there is a problem to fixed. I do understand our Jeeps do have really common problems though, mine being one of them. Have you been able to test and see exactly whats failing or are you just assuming that its wet and now wont start? The better you describe exactly what happends and whats wet I might be able to help you. Also the note about dielectric grease is a good idea. The parts store sells what is basically brake part cleaner for electrical components so get that, compressed air and some rags. Clean all the connections, check for pin tension and make sure they contact well and then put that grease in there. Have you checked the distributor and make sure water or humidity isn't getting in there? That will cause problems with the rain, especially if you have vents right above them.
