I have a 99 cherokee sport and I was wondering would I really benefit from a aftermarket coil and ignition box upgrade?

I thought the 99 had distributorless ignition...but I may be off a year, it just seems that it started sometime in 98. :anon:
At any rate, the XJs came with a good, hot ignition coils. A good set of wires can make a slight difference, but not much more you can do. We've covered this many times here over the years.

Good wires will make a noticeable improvement. I put a set of the Accel 8.8 spiral wound wires on my Cadillac to fix an engine buzz and it barks the tires now.
