I think I've got a problem...

That's how I'm looking at it - better I get it dealt with now rather that really far out into the western ass end of nowhere.

There's now a little confusion on the cooler line, though - looks like the pressure line is one piece instead of two, and the correct one should be on its way here shortly.

Rob
If that option still fails, you don't need the factory-bent pieces for the pressure and return lines.

Stu added an AW-4 to his TJ, and used synthetic hose to run the fluids. Looking under my own XJ this weekend I noticed my tranny lines are leaking again...several years ago it puked in the parking lot of CB+Potts on 120th, and I ended up buying lines from that same dealer on 104th.

Hope you get it resolved and back on the road soon though!

Well, we finally got everything back together a little while ago, and I'm now sitting in my room in the Comfort Inn Brighton.

I didn't end up getting any price break on the work, but the cost was fair, and the folks at AAMCO in Brighton really went above and beyond to get me back to roadworthy status. When I get home, I'll be sending both them and AAA (who connected me with them) a nice letter commending them for their service.

Now all I need to do is figure out where I'm going to go for a light bite to eat and maybe a nice blackberry brandy or two to wrap up the evening.

Glad you got everything worked out. Too bad you're stuck in Brighton, not much for dining selection. There's a Lonestar steakhouse and a decent Sushi place on Main just north east of you. I'm stuck at the firehouse for a while, otherwise I'd be in. I'm always down for a drink or two.:) Have a safe trip home.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have a room booked at the Comfort Inn over on Brighton Road. I'm going to just call it a day and start over tomorrow.

Of course, if you want to get together for a drink this evening I'd be interested - if you PM me your number, I can give you a ring after I'm checked in and ready for a light supper and perhaps a brandy chaser.

Is lonestar still around or did the whole chain shut down? Maybe just the ones down here but they all closed.

I ended up getting a pizza last night and skipping the brandy - I was rather tired from the day's events, despite not getting much driving done.

I did get a good night's sleep, and will be heading out in about an hour or so.

Take care and drive safe! That streach of I-70 is straight and flat with very little around!

Sorry I didn't get on last night - I met up with Josh (Redheep) and Nate (87manche), and convoyed with them until about an hour and a half ago - they're pressing on for home, I stopped for the night. I'll add a little more detail in the thread on their trials in the 25th forum.

Anyway, no internet in the hotel last night, but my truck's been running just fine since I had all the leaks fixed. I'll keep checking on it every morning though, just to be safe.

All the good thoughts are appreciated.

Rob

Glad to hear it. Breaking down on the road is always a stressful event. I've done my share of wrenching on the roadside and in parking lots. At least you're about home.

-Jon

Sure does - and it makes the miles pass faster even at what Josh called a "blistering" 62mph.

I'm stopped for the night an hour into PA - one more hop tomorrow and I'm back to the barn.

Rob

Got home at 3:00 NJ time, safe and sound.

Jeep's been running completely drip free since the work done in Brighton.

Thanks for the suggestions and good thoughts.
