i got pulled over today

I need to get gears and an arb set up in my xj dana 44. The axle is already out, I'll be putting it back in myself, just need the gears and stuff set up. I'll probably try calling this afternoon. Thanks for your help!

Us East/West Norriton, KOP folk need to get together some time... Then maybe my wife will understand why I sold my relatively new Acura and kept my XJ... lol

I talk about my wife a lot on this forum... HA!

I'm in, if I am around when the time/place is chosen.

Hey guys, Lee here, like Justin said I did get pulled over/followed by a cop in West Chester one day. He actually followed me for about a mile to the back of my apartment complex then he told me my bumper was too high. When I asked what the legal height should be his wonderful answer was "I don't know"! Found out that the maximum height the bumper could be off the ground is only 22" because as Justin said Jeep did us a favor and registered them as station wagons. Anyway in checking the legal codes there is a multi-purpose passenger vehicle where the rear bumper can be 26" and 24" for the front, however I called the local police station about this and they basically told me two things. First, bumper height usually is not an issue, and second that interpretation doesn't really hold water. If we are to be truely legal then we should have fender flares less than 3", extremely low bumpers and mud flaps, which are also in the code. I haven't had trouble in about 2 years, but I have watched cops plug my license plate info into their computers looking for some reason to pull me over. It is definitely not getting any easier to modify your vehicle in PA.

Lee, the problem is that your jeep was too clean, and shiny, which attracted the cops like a red ferarri would. The trick is, to have a muddy jeep:pig: at all times, so the cops won't go near it for fear of getting their pretty uniforms dirty LOL!
